One dimensional

We rely too much on Marshall. We have lost our mystic of razzle dazzle attack and it is sad to watch. Our attack is give it too Benji, while the rest of us sit back and watch

Maybe it really is a time for change with Mr Sheens out

The reason we were one dimensional was our halfback

Marshall should be running the ball more and putting some more pressure on their defence

Sironen was barely used

If anything we rely on Farah not Marshall

Give it to Marshall, he'll do something. No one else takes any initiative.

Where were the sweeping backline moves? Where were the wrap arounds? Where were the decoy and inside runners?

We dead set look like strangers. I can only hope the return of Farah helps but it might not. The play with a few minutes to go was farcical and highlighted our complete lack of structure

We should have bought an organizing halfback at the start of the year and let Marshall play his natural running game at Six.

Young Siro will be the next sacrificial lamb and next week the merry go round will continue

Sironen/Marshall combination is by far better than any other tried this year, IMHO better than Marshall/Miller.
Also, with Marshall showing some very bad defence in the last few games, Miller would be another player we will need to hide.
I agree about our attitude in attack 'just leave it Benji, and all the other players will just watch', Iosefa showed some good signs and the reason why he was signed, he could be use3ful utility player.
Lote's early injury did not help.
Unfurtunately, this year we had at least one player out due to injury in too many games.

. A lot more than us. We do not have the strike power that they have or the structure.

we only depend on one thing and that's luck.. no matter how hard the team tries, i can never get myself to think that wow, they did a good job, im proud of them.. we rely too much on another teams shooting themselves in the fooot to win

Yes and they even played badly last night, but still never looked like losing.

I find it interesting that before the match sheens made mention that marshall has confidence in going sirro, yet it seemed the whole side made a concerted effort not to give him any ball. He was noticeably nit involved. We miss moltzen as an option and second receiver. Hope he us back next week.

Moltzen, Utai, lote, Gareth, farah!
Take the fullback, both wingers, gun second rower and hooker/captain out o any team and of purse the attack is going to suffer enormously!
Not to mention the fact Lawrence has also been playing injured all year as well..
Don't get me wrong I found the attack lastnight boring and frustrating, but u have to keep it in perspective

Yes, where are they? I miss them. They were beautiful to watch. :frowning:

Marshall has played all year like he is not ok - don't know if there is an injury - he has been run down a few times by forwards - or something else but he is a shadow of what he was

And how about his defence????

With you Tigerlogic. By the way, was it raining for a fair bit of the match, or was it just my TV picture?

Yeh it was raining sporadically during the game, ground was quite slippery and greasy

Plan A: give it to Benji.
Plan B: no plan B…

Did Sirro even play?? Oh yeah, that's right he was beaten one-on-one by Barba, and what an unfortunate way to remember that he was actually on the field for the full 80 mins.

What a bunch of Brown's cows!

We need Farah back big time! And Benji out to 5/8 with far less to do, so when he does something he's had a chance to at least be ready for it. Miller at 1/2 because he IS a half. Simple.
