Over $800,000 worth of talent off the field

I've got a quote for Sheensy,

"Insanity is doing the same thing and expecting a different result".

Perhaps its time to start dropping people who aren't performing straight away - not give them time. If they have the right attitude, they'll spend 1 week in reggies and play their arses off and come back into contention for firsts. In regards to our game yesterday, the edge defence was poor, the fullback looked lethargic and didn't want to return the ball. If the kid is carrying an injury, don't play him. I just look at someone like a Brian Smith and granted he hasn't won a comp, but the guy turns out competitive teams year after year. He takes two wingers and moves them to the centre's, he takes a former golden boot winning fullback and plays him and the wing and then he plays a 5/8 Halfback as a fullback. - Results = two great wins to start a season from a team that got the spoon last year.

Sheen's needs to realise that doing the same thing over and over again, will not yeild a different result. I'll put myself out there and say that on yesterday's form (Unless Injured) I won't have Moltz in my team next week. I also wouldn't have Cayless and Moors or Heighno there either. I'd give Mullaney a crack at FB, I'd give Lauzurus a crack at 7 instead of Lui and I'd have A Fafita on the bench.

But again I'm only a street punter - so I guess the coach knows best.

Great post

. . . that combined with a coach that has a 32% success rate and what do you expect?

32%, where did you pluck that one from BB, same place you got your percentage in the Sheens Future Safe at Wests Tigers thread that was grossly incorrect in favour of your agenda, you not too good on percentages are you, but hey don’t let the truth get in the way of a good tale, that sounds familiar, you work for the Tele by any chance, oh of course BB, Bec and Buzz, now we see.

Sorry mate, what is his winning ratio since the NRL started ?

I hate this cliched quote. My old boss used to say the same thing. Firstly, it is not the definition of insanity. Secondly, in a fluid environment, the same action can have a different result. The different results that we achieved in 2005 and 2006 are a perfect example of this.

Sorry Ken not having a go at you but it is one of the dumbest and overused cliches around.

All good ST - I think you need a thick skin to post on forums anyway so no offence taken.

I just look at the results of the last four years and stratch my head. The clique may be overused, but how can you argue with it when you look at this team. Other coaches react almost instantaneously to player performance (Eg Des pulled his first weeks centre (Tall kid can't remeber his name - ex parra player) and placed him back on the wind after just one poor performace.)

Sheensie has this obsession about showing confidence etc etc - but the proof is in the pudding (Another clique  ). I just don't think players here have a fear of not playing first grade. Play shit house and you're picked again next week. I wish Sheen's would realise that perhaps a week in reggies is a better way to boost desire and confidence rather than trying to recapture form playing firsts (I think of collis, Morris at 7, Fitzy in the halves Etc Etc). This is compounded by the fact that for the first time in years we actually have some depth and some juniors to try out. I would rather get lapped with some new juniors in the team then get lapped with some of the same guys that have been here for a while.

Come Tuesday arvo - Sheen's however will pick a similar team to last week (Only forced changes) and the whole ground hog thing will start again.
