Paul Sironen forcing his son out?

Curtis Sironen has been a walk up start to this side for years. Weeks, even months out with injury has seen him walk straight into the team.

Last week his dad openly critcises Jason Taylor and Curtis, for the first time ever goes from starting player to left right out. Only an injury to Sue saw him play.

The fact Halatau, Lovett and Aloiai were Taylors preferred options all of a sudden says alot IMO.

This should be Taylor's last game as coach. Problem solved.

Sirro to be fair has a point. Taylor has coached the skill element out of these players. No second phase play in favour of mistake free footy. Well that doesnt work as we cant even play mistake free footy.
Sirro Jnr is very average though. Always thought he was average as a 5/8 and who ever his junior coach was should of known that he was never going to be 5/8 and should of been coaching him play either 2nd row or Lock.

Watched him a few times as a junior and yeh no good as a 6\. Been massive mistakes made with both Siro kids. Bayley has been played at 6 for years as a junior when he was ordinary there against his own age. Now he is playing against older guys in the backrow and he is much better. Silly coaching for both kids.

His dad coached him for several years

We look like a poorly coached team. Just poor defensive plays and no plays when we have the ball. I've recognised how bad Taylor has been. You can debate that but you can't debate that with any rationality whatsoever. So far I've said keep him. Now I think he is the no 1 problem with this side.

Well said Steve.

I'd like Phil Gould or Sheens with these young fellows working on their confidence and skills. Encouraging them to play their natural games. The club has a very important decision to make tonight.

The players just don't look interested. Are some serial offenders there. Sirro, Brooks are the worst offenders. They just don't seem to care and their efforts in a chase show this. Some of the others just play dumb football. Who plays hooker the next 2 weeks, Ballin/Halatau or Cherrington/Halatau?

Taylor tries to build their confidence. Was it GNR saying at training that after a dropped ball, the comment was, "Well done, but you need to catch them". What are Gould and Sheens going to say, "Nice kick, you almost gone one repeat set all game". If you made that tackle they wouldn't have scored. Good to see you chasing the break, even if it was a half paced jog.

Strike 2 for his dad then.

I think we have more problems than Sironen, besides 2 or 3 players we are rubbish, no heart, no brains, no commitment… After that performance half the team and the coach should be dropped. I'm so embarassed I support this mob.

Your assuming this bunch of average footballers have the talent to execute second phase plays. This side is not even a work in progress - they just lack NRL ability right across the park.

Curtis do yourself a favour and find another club ..well that is if you can ,Taylors first game at the club and he makes you look like a CHUMP!
