Most of us on here were pretty disgusted with what Robert Lui did to his partner recently, not just once, but twice. We were equally disgusted with the highly lenient punishment dished out to him by the courts, especially after he actually admitted to doing the crime. Since this verdict, the NRL has, once again, remained silent on the issue of players abusing women, despite all their rhetoric about trying to clean up the image of the game and wanting women to feel secure as part of the NRL culture.
Well, I am pleased to say that 'one of our own' has had enough and he has started an official petition urging the NRL to finally take some serious measures to end player violence against women, starting with an automatic 1 year ban for Lui. Check out the link below if you're interested and sign it if you wish to see some action taken on this issue, because these things can actually enact change.
