PLAYERS PRAISED FOR EXCELLENT BEHAVIOUR
16/08/2011 10:11:27 AM

Wests Tigers have been commended for their behaviour at a Kiama Hotel last week as part of a four day camp.

Susan Oliver, of Kanahooka, wrote to the Club congratulating the players and coaching staff on their politeness and manners.

"My daughter Alicia works at the The Grand Hotel in Kiama. She was contacted by Wests Tigers Football Operations Manager Alan Mair asking if it would be okay to bring in 30 people for dinner to which she said of course,'' Susan wrote.

"To her surprise it was the Wests Tigers. My daughter was thrilled to serve these players. She is not a big rugby league fan but knows who some of the players were.

"The players treated her and the other people in the bar with respect. She had many conversations with the players during the night and at no time did they misbehave.

"Footballers get bad publicity all the time so I would like to congratulate the Wests Tigers for being gentlemen during the evening."

Its a shame that some idiotic players have set a stereotype for all rugby league players being unable to be well behaved. Fortunately the Tigers have had a good reputation for a long time.

Agreed.
Just 1 player out of line can spoil the reputation of many.

Good on the lady for writing the letter…. many write letter of complaints, but very few write letters of praise.

Well Done Susan!

Unfortunatley, much like "Plane lands safely at Sydney airport"…these stories dont make the news.

Good on the boys.....those that matter know how well they represent the club

agree with all above. except for Field and mcguiness we have been a pretty clean club since inception. i did foprget to mention the Hoppa incidents but no need to go there.

Someone should email it to that grub rothfield and see if he runs with it. My money would be on no

This is an outstanding piece of good news. Willow, where was it published? As a club supporter and member, I am very proud of the squad very well done to all involved (I'm going onto the official site to say the same).

Nice to read some positive news about players' behaviour for a change and proud it was our team's players - very encouraging!
