Potter & Benji & Robbies Absence

Potters excuse for picking Benji is seeing him play out his last season with dignity because of his previous contribution to the club and team.

How pathetic, Benji holds out his hand for what $30,000 a game? The Tiger supporters pay out their hard earned cash and brave the elements to watch a disgraceful team effort, as if that's not enough, the team is led by this joke that use to be Benji.
Potter appoints him captain as well, that's it Potter pick your worst player to lead by example.

I use to support Potter, thought he should coach again next year, but after he picked Benji this week, no more.
If Potter doesn't select his team on form, I admit no one is in form but Benji is the worst, then he is not the coach I want.

Incidentally, Robbie out again it seems, injured still given he was to play last week? My money is on him not wanting to play while Benji is in the team.

Robbie is to professional for that. For the teams and majority of supporters sake I agree dropping Benji is not an option it is a must. The only things that are saving Potter is we can't afford to pay a third coach and us. If he doesn't drop Benji I can sence that he is loosing us!

So basically Robbie is refusing to play while Benji is in the team ? To top it off I assume that to you that is a good thing.

Questiong farahs proffesionalism?
Way to go.

Theres much more to the Benji thing than just form & the coach….if it were only form then Potter continually selecting him surely would be him signing his own death warrant re: his future. Think about it.

I suggest you clarify assumptions before making such a stupid comment. Where, in what I wrote do I say that's a good thing? Its a statement, my belief, got a problem with me doing that?

So you want him to select on form…..but you can see no one is in form.
So who does he pick?
You arent giving him a chance...you say you are but you arent

Last Monday nights team was selected 8 days ago...but you waited till after the game to make up your mind....not after the team announcemnt

Moz, as the season is now long gone. There is nothing to be gained for the club by dumping Marshall, but they will quietly cash in on him as he plays out his last few games.

I think so.
The less fuss generated the better….the club has enough negative press without creating more of its own.
There will be a finale for the departing players at the souths game...so there should be.
They leave and we move on...its only three more weeks.

As much as Benji deserves to go, he will get the fairytale ending.

The season is gone, last or 2nd last makes little difference. The politics around Benji are just far too great to risk 2014.

We dont know Robbies relationship with Benji and if he was to be dropped it may cause further division in the club for next year…ie Robbie then falls out with Potter etc etc.

We probably have little to gain right now so we may just have to grin and bear it.

Next year all the sacred cows will no longer be around and I believe Potter will select the team on form.

I'm pretty sure that privately Potter and some of the team are just dying for Benji to go away, but I'm sure Benji also has his supporters....even the fans would be split on this issue, for as many are saying "get rid of him" there would be an equal portion saying "let him play the next 3 games."

Its just a lose lose situation ATM.

Smartest comment in this thread.

Blaming Potter is stupid.

If Benji played like the Benji of old and tears the Dragons to shreds on the weekend, Potter won't get any praise.

But benji plays crap and thats Potters fault.

:unamused:

Robbie was interviewed during the game on Monday night and admitted the injury was not healing as he would have liked and that he wouldn't be in the team to take on the dragons.

No bitching, no cloaks and daggers, he is just injured.

That is very cold comfort and an insult to the loyal fans who were looking forward to enjoying the last games of the season.

I have been told that Farah's finger injury is more serious than first thought. He may be back to play Souths but you're assumption is wrong about him not wanting to play while Benji is in the team.
