Ray Hadley observation

Last night before the bulldogs manly semi Hadley went through the officials. He said that Steve Clark & Paul Mellor were the video refs. Further to that…. "so we have a senior & junior official in the video refs box".

Well this is my disillusionment. As far as I'm concerned Paul Mellor is the senior & Steve Clarke is the junior because the way I see it, Mellor has played first grade whilst Steve Clarke hasnt ( I think).

In conclusion the time has to come when all refs should have first grade experience because they know the intimacy of the game as a result of experience in the game & knowing the workings of the game inside out.

Unfortunately the sad thing being I'm sure Hadley referred to Clarke as the senior & Mellor the junior.

I think we've got it all wrong.

Well we are going to be hard up to get enough, its a pretty short list…........

Did you see the under 20s last night? Mellor was video ref and got all 3 calls wrong.

he was terrible fortunately it didnt effect the result
