Watch the game last night . Lucky it's early days but when is it that we just play basic league. One problem I have is the refs taking the lime light and inconsitant decisions. E.g penalties Blair for a high hit but then doesn't penalties st George when they did a high hit on Marshall and Ryan. Please also explain the grounding rule in league as last weekend game against sharks and Newcastle how can the try for Newcastle was allowed when the player had No control of the ball . Again the ref changing the game by taking the lime light. Ps the same ref archer.

he is a crap ref , ive watched the game twice and he let 1 fwd pass from us go and 4 from dragqueens , only minimal forward but if tyies are scored and it changes the game we do have major problems , this is a muti million dollar game

Refs had a shocker…no doubt...our players were worse!...but hey we should **thank** the refs for our ONLY win thus far!!

If the refs got it right in Rd.1 then the Sharks would have never got their first try from a forward pass. We also would have had another scoring opportunity had the ref not claimed Big Red was playing the advantage when the Sharks fullback (I think) knocks on when attempting to defuse a bomb.

If they got those right, we wouldn't have been in extra time and we wouldn't be having this discussion.

I completely disagreed with the decision, but they ruled that the Sharks player stripped the ball while Sau was attempting to ground it (play on) and then Sau grounded it with his body. Since there is nothing in the rules about control falling on it was suffice.

Although I think this "try" showed more about the faults in the rules than it showed about the competency of the referee.

The other problem I have is the amount of time they go upstairs to look at the try. It's like they looking at reasons for try not to be allowed. In this case if archer believe it was try why did he go upstairs.
