Refereeing

its not just in tigers games, it is getting worse across the board.

there were some incidents we can overlook from the tigers game because we were defeated comfortably in the end, but what if it were close?

in the sharks v titans tonight, albert kelly was denied a try after half time. it was ruled a try, then over turned by the video ref. another one that stands out was when zillman went to take a catch at fullback and was steam rolled by a sharks player not even looking at the ball. its unbelieveable.

with more referees watching the game than ever…. + VIDEO REPLAY its getting WORSE. but the coaches cant question it. its a gee up if ive ever seen one.

The referees control the game and quite often the result.

i tried to avoid this conclusion for years, however what else is there left to think. tonight zillman was also taken across the jugular on a kick return and no thought of a sin bin for what probably should have been…

anyway maybe we keep this thread running all year, every bad decision in tigers games + others. 100+ pages no doubt.

They were talking about all the penalties on Triple M earlier. Missed most of it but they were talking about how in the first half of the Manly/Storm game the penalty count was 7-3 (can't remember which way around) and the second half was 2-7 or something. Find that one a bit strange.

it's a disgrace that Luke Phillips was allowed to Referee the Souths vs Easts game on Thursday.

Do the officials not think when making appointments?
