Removal of spam ads?

It'll take a while to get used to the new site but one thing i've noticed is that there are now more spammy ads 'congratulations, as our 10000000th visitor you've won a jb hi fi gift card' etc.

Is there a way to remove these types of ads? While i won't click on them, some people eventually will.

@Balmain_Boy Get ad blocker and that should do the trick.

I may be wrong but I don't think that you can so anything about them. Maybe you can report them but they will replace with different annoying ads.

Looks good with no ads on a computer.
But a bit harder to look at on mobile devices.

I've tweaked the settings so reduce the number that are displayed.
We still need to show some to get some revenue in to pay for this server :rofl:
But obviously the less we can show, the better!

No worries Kul,

I fully understand the needs for ads, otherwise you're reliant on fundraising drives of members. I don't mind seeing genuine ads, it's the spammy ones which annoy me. Hopefully all is well now.

Not a huge fan of ad blockers, as it does deny the sites I like the ability to raise funds.
