Wests Tigers representative players returned to Concord Oval this morning for some light training.
New Zealand Test players Benji Marshall and Adam Blair, City Origin reps Robbie Farah, Chris Lawrence, Aaron Woods and Liam Fulton, as well as NSW U20s players Jacob Miller and Matt Groat, all came through unscathed from the first weekend of representative football.
Wests Tigers NYC Video Analyst Simon Dwyer was assistant coach of the City Origin side.
The players enjoyed a well earned massage before joining their team-mates and Australian and Wests Tigers Head Coach Tim Sheens in preparing for this Sunday’s vital clash against Parramatta at Parramatta Stadium at 3pm.
Marshall, the Kiwis captain, was solid as was Blair in the Test match loss to Australia on Friday night.
Farah and Woods were praised highly by Coach Brad Fittler for their strong performances for City Origin in the 24-22 win over Country in Mudgee on Sunday. Both have already been spoken about as possible NSW Origin candidates.
Farah captained City Origin for a record fourth time under the current Origin selection format. The hard working skipper led the way in defence, making 44 tackles ahead of Woods on 33\. Woods also ran 137 metres with the ball in his 16 hit ups.
Groat turned in a tireless effort in defence while Miller was sharp as usual at half-back in NSW's U20s win over Queensland U20s at Penrith on Saturday night.
