Was a little surprised that Alex Seyfarth made that article about the top NRL forwards coming on the market from 1st November.

Even more surprised about the lack of comments from this forum about it.

One year left on his contract, compared to others.

We can cop his final year I guess but we need spots so let's get it happening.

I don't think we'd be able to afford those 2 by paying both Klemmer and Bateman to play elsewhere.

Klem does a job so I'd take the hit in his final year and try and move someone like Twal who would be on about half what Klemmer is on and be easier to move.

Any team in need of a forward would pick him up.

Look, I get punting Bateman. His stats really show his only advantage is that he plays 80 minutes. Otherwise I see nothing for our team.

Klem, Klem is one of our best Forwards. Looking at the stats, Pole competes with Klem but Twal He takes big hits and makes his tackles.
What I think People forget is:
No Stefano/Paps
and it's not replacing Klem with another top rating Prop.

It's that the player who's our 4th prop becomes our 3rd.

Happy to keep Klem even if it's 18th because it means 1-17 have to outwork him.

Agree, if or when Alex can control his temper and use it more constructively, he will be a huge asset to the club. He may look ungraceful at times but that’s only due to trying too hard.

I ask the question if we get rid of klem and Bateman , and we get SAY two forwards injured and one forward suspended, who replaces them , the kids who can’t even win games in the NSW cup , a team is not just the 17 who get pick u need people to fill holes , ur team is good but u need the other 3 as well

I've been one of Seyfarths biggest critics in the past ......but he definitely improved in the back half of the season

Still think he plays better off the bench though

Seyfarth is an ideal bench player but not a starter especially in a team like ours that lacks impact

8 players off contract next year,2 keepers. Other 6 are all expendable.Throw in Klemmer? Bateman ? Sullivan?Apart from the last 2 the books look fine.Naden should fall on his sword soon.Be buggered if im chasing a rabbit into the tech web ,thought we had 14 /30 up for renewal this october

IMHO, we shall decide between Twal and Seyfarth as they are the same type of prop. I would keep Seyfarth as he is more aggressive, potentially cheaper, and, at least, we can hope he could sometimes offload 🙏.
We still need two experienced, aggressive, hard-hitting props, Asofa-Solomona, Josh Papalii, Fanua-Blake, Junior Paolo, Haas or JWH type🙏.

We NEED -> capital Need another killer player in the second row.

Props, we have May, Hunt, Twal, Seyfarth, Klemmer...

Plus Pole floating around, maybe at lock.

Second row we have Samuela F and Bateman.


Look, if we upgraded say Seyfarth or Klemmer for Asofa-Solomona or any you mention (we would be super lucky to land one of those players), great. Definately prefer quality over quantity.

Right now, if I could do anything with our roster, it would be to clone Samuela F. Bateman isn't performing and that means we don't have that nice impact dent which allows our winger/center to combine and find a gap.

Thanks for putting this together. With 9 spots free at the end of 2025 Richo/Benji can really get the balance right between youth and experience. Forwards and Backs.
