Great post Stryker, and reading the live game thread, I think this was the first time the sadness of the occasion over ruled what might have been a negative tone on our loss to the Roosters, and in the end the bigger loss today was the loss of Robbies mum which put this all into perspective really.

I honestly thought we were going to get there at 70 minutes.

Herculean effort by the lads to get over the emotion at the start of the game.

I honestly think Newcastle will cop the brunt of the emotional burn our boys will take from this game. Robbie will play (to prove a point) and Fulton will return to staunch up the defense, and who knows, we may see a surprise return by Ellis….

Newcastle would be crapping themselves if they knew what's good for them...

I thought we showed a fair bit of heart in defence in the first period of the game. We were doing well to keep them out many times. But the luck was all with the Roosters and they kept getting the ball back. Once they got in front, the fight in us dyed for a while and the Roosters took full advantage. Of course, missing Farah and Fulton (on top of Ellis, of course) really stretched us too thin in the middle…

I found it almost saddening the way we charged back into the game because it was nothing but raw emotion and love for Robbie that instigated it.

Exactly mate…Gus was laughing about it...I had tears in my eyes.

Idk if i'm just being over-sensitive but Gus was really pissing off in the last 20 mins. His arrogant laughter reeks of insincerity and given the emotion of the entire day, i think it was unnesseccary. David Morrow's ''They're not dead yet'' when the score got back to 36-28 was also inapropriate imo.

srsly, stop picking on little things like that. im sad about robbie's mum, so are a lot of other people but you can't expect a scene of melancholy and sadness throughout the match, especially in a thriller like that.
