Sandow

Good chance to grab a player that is obviously out of favour . If he can even produce a little of what he did at souths and with the fact the hapless eels would be paying most of his salary/ cap space I think it is a great opportunity to do the reverse of what we normally do!!!! Your thoughts??

Theres a reason why he's not playing first grade, he's garbage. Its only starting to sink in with people. He's never played finals.

I just feel with Robbie being the dominant organising hooker he is, sandow could just play what's in front of him unlike parra where he is expected to direct the side. If we could get him CHEAP enough might be worth the risk IMO. I am however warming to Wallace otherwise till brooks is ready.

Yeah well he'd want to pretty damn cheap and I'd hate to think one of our juniors leaves because Chris Sandow signs up. Not worth the hassle IMO unless he was a bargain basement and the circumstances aligned perfectly.

I think he'd be a pretty good halfback if he had a better team around him. He's expected to organize and lead the rabble that is Parramatta around the park and he's:
A) not good enough a halfback
B) not that kind of halfback
He's very much a "I'll pounce on this scrambled defense" (if that makes sense) player, but he has no one to help him achieve that. Sutton and him were alright as a halves pairing but the team around them weren't good. He has neither a Sutton type half pairing nor a good team at the Eels and as such he looks absolutely terrible.

I think he could be a buy. Who here thought dugan would go well at the dragons? Jennings was a great buy for the chooks, went poorly at the panthers before that. lots of supposed 'duds' that turn out to be great players after a move, new environment etc.

It's not like sandow has a great pack or an amazing back line to support him and help make him look good.

But, the fact he was dropped to NSW Cup is still concerning. If i was management, i'd wanna know a lot more about that before doing anything. From the outside, we can only really speculate.

Wasn't he meant to be training the house down in pre season looking fit and sharp losing weight now he's in reggies with the likely wooden spooners, says a lot.

He probably gave up on training once he realised his old club were top of the table without him while his new one were wooden spooners

He's one of the suckiest players that ever sucked. Speed hump in defence, no thanks.

If parra paid us $600k pa to take him yeah..I would . He'd be great for the WT coffers

If we want to resign Brooks and Moses its a bad look to be chasing halves. They have to see a short term opening into the top grade or they will sign with a club that can offer them that. What we need is a is a experienced journey man who can cover no9 and n07 at a pinch and be happy to play most of the season in reggies
