Coaches Corner

If I were coach for the first trial next year I would have...Nofa at fullback Douie at right centre Laurie at 5/8 Hastings half-back and Brooks carrying the water ..any takers
I'd have Brooks carrying the water for the Wayne Pearce Hot Dog Franchise in Mary Street. Mitchell Pearce has the Hill covered. 🌭🌭🌭

I would buy a new complete set of forwards then promise never to play pretenders ever again
💯 Maguire totally destroyed the WT defence! Under Cleary we won the games against the benchmark teams, and in the process received maximum of 2 tries per game, with Maguire our defence was the worst in the league, and we let 7-8 tries per game against the same benchmark clubs!

Interesting interview Beau Ryan Tipple M. Says club was tight and family friendly when he was with tigers and the club could sell itself to potential new players , Lunches , Breakfast , whole family at game day , kids at training made it a place to like , doesn’t think this happens now , believes Benji and Robby will be able to sell the club to new players and bring that back , help players move to the club with all the stuff in the back ground like schools for kids transport if wife works , new home area to live
I'm looking forward to seeing what the three do...

I put very little stock in anything Beau Ryan says - he’s been so far from football for so long he wouldn’t know…
Also odd, that he says all the above but he himself walked away from a contract at the club to sign with the Sharks.
If it was such a place to be back then, why was our squad so lop sided - and we didn’t have players to make the finals even every other year?

Gosh, it seems like a lifetime ago when Beau went to the Sharks and Benji ,Robbie went to the board and Tim was shown the door 😝
I love this club 😂 I hope it doesn’t get punted from the NRL.

Everything we've heard from snippets from Naden, Tamou recently said the club works hard to include family and it's family and partners oriented. Maybe all fluff but I don't think that's an issue at the club. I'm sure Benji will only continue to promote this.

We do love a second chance though....

Wasn't disregarding his point - More making the point on our lack of ability to sign quality players (for basically our entire existence) What he said, Didn't impact our squad....
What it did do, Was keep a couple good players who were best mates with some very ordinary players all happy and working together.
If it was such a place to be, Where were all the great players we could have signed?....
And why did he leave - When they wanted him to stay?
Loved, Loved, Loved the club that gave him a chance when no others would
- Quickly forgot us when he left.

Beau was let go by Tigers along with Heino , he left with tears

Did he have a microphone in his hand ?
He did, but he wasn’t interviewing.

We exchanged friendly greetings as he saw I recognised him. Raised his eyes brows at me and smiled like he was recognising an old friend, although we’d never met.

“ How are you?” He asked and he had all the crew and stuff with him ( cameras down).

Nice and genuine, no turning up of the nose.

You know they clear any lines for Cleary at the panthers club. Even the toilets, he can push past with staff escort. Entitled smuggy wuss. A lot of the local lads, they despise the players socially.

Jealousy maybe.

Our poor lads, have to fend for themselves I think.

Matterson couldn’t raise the $4k from mates or the club etc to be able to play his 3 games.

They passed a bucket around the playing group but no one interested.

Not even Bea chipped in.
