SHEENS WRAPS LUI

During the post match interview last night, coach Sheens was asked about Lui's performance (can be seen on Fox Sports).

Sheens commented that Lui has played well since the Foundation Cup.' Lui is handling the pressure well, improved his defence since last year, is playing with determination for the 80 minutes and has a good kicking game.

Leaving the game last night I was thinking about how much Lui has improved his game and how he is starting to stamp his influence on team plays. He is developing into a fine half back. Sheens also described Lui as having shed a lot of the 'puppy' fat he was carrying last year and being fit.

The one thing I like about Lui is even though he goes cross field sometimes usually he straightens our attack up and helps to straighten Benji up in attack ,the one thing I hope to see against Raiders is continually straightening the line of attack in a lot of inside balls Wear out their big forwards all night

Yes HT running Canberra's forwards around will be a key tactic, one that was used in the semi last year.

My dad who is a Dragons mad since the 60s (Yes he is disappointed in me) gave Lui a wrap at lunch yesterday.

Quote " This guy will be a Star No7".

That's it for me the Great man has spoken.

You're father is a smart man.
I saw that talent when he got his first crack @ first grade.
Always praised him even when all the haters on here were hating saying Moltzen is the man for the job.
Being proved wrong must suck.
I hope you all now understand Moltzen will never be halfback unless Lui is injured.
He is a pure star.

Still got a fair way to go - Lets talk again when he cracks 70 Odd FG games.

Agree Spartan he has talent just want to see a full season under his belt and consistancy in that season But from what have seen no issues I hope

He is going from strength to strength at the back of last season and the beginning of this season. I hope that we don't end up seeing him play against Moltzen as I am greedy and want to see them both playing for the wests Tigers.

Agree Lui looks a lot better running the ball and seems to have grown in confidence but his defence is woeful!
Still too lazy to get in position - check out Warriors first try- and is of the belief if he sticks an arm out the opposition will run into it.
Let him work on his whole game before you start praising him too much.

Yeah CK but I see Benji and Robbie miss some doozies too! I agree that he needs to be able to tackle, but considering the opposition are always going to run their big boppers at him he can't be expected to stop them all.

It is interesting watching how Tim deals with each player. It is obvious he knows their characters well and Lui seems to react well to praise from the coach whereas he is more restrained when discussing others

A good No 7 oozes confidence, It cant be easy as a 21yr old playing with Robbie and Benji.

These are designed to boost him mentally and help him grow to the player the club believes he can be.

I respect the way Coach Sheens works.

Will need to stay consistent with Jacob Miller just waiting for a chance. This kid is good and can kick goals too

Jacob Miller will keep Lui honest no doubt ..but Lui is getting there not a real big fan but is earning his spot at the moment .

Lol this guy.
Even when fit, Lui got the #7 ahead of Moltz who was put @ full back.
Get outta here with all that.

Moltzen is still the best halves parnter for Benji …IMO...We are blessed to have such depth in the position....be happy....

Demps your need to be right and give it to other posters who have a different opinion to yours is becoming embarrassing mate....just an opinion...

Well done Robbie Lui to....getting better by the game...

Youve only been here 2 months….blow in.
You shouldve seen how he carved up teams with his ball playing at 5/8 in the 20's....but yes, well spotted.

Did anyone hear him call Ayshford onto the ball when Ayshford went through the hole to score?? On the foxtel replay he screams Ayshford onto the pass..

I just replayed the try a few times but all I could hear was the commentators my TV mightn't be as good as yours, great play both players.
