I'm kinda relieved that I can continue hating and deathriding him.

And you have to spend at least 90%?Each year’s cap is for that year only.
If you don’t spend it you lose it.
Plan B is:The club knows where is stands with Moses and believe me we have well and truly moved on…..Sheens has a plan B for 2024….
how would the Eels forum have any idea about Tigers TPA's ....Eels forum saying TPAs didn’t eventuate for the tigers. What does that mean exactly? I don’t understand that side of the business. So thhe tigers couldn’t get the extra $?

It's a smart play from his management, I'd do the same for my client. It's the best way to squeeze as much as u can from any perspective club.I think he’s making everybody sweat !
They don't usually have those problems with tpas they always use the brown paper bag.How the hell would they know that , cap story
If that were true, Parra wouldn't know about it. His agent is a very shrewd operator and is not going to volunteer that information.Eels forum saying TPAs didn’t eventuate for the tigers. Why would he have trouble getting into the country, been here before and Canberra have been bringing poms in by the truck load with no problemsI also heard Coach Sheens saying that the club has an immigration lawyer acting for them, hoping to get Bateman here by end of January.

Open and transparent, I like that. So you're saying the highest bidder determines market value and whichever club manages to win the player over has to pay this market price? Great idea in principle but we all know that, in practice, players express a willingness to 'play for less' at the club they prefer. Also, how do we stop clubs making bogus offers, simply to push prices up. It's an interesting and important discussion to be had.Thats why a players worth should be what the highest bidder is willing to pay. For example Rorters offer Tedesco "700k"( plus the under the table money) . Tigers offer 1.2 M. .As the market has now determined Tedescos value , he now costs the Rorters 1.2 m out of their salarycap not the bogus 700K . There is no restraint of trade , Tedesco can sign where ever he wants & the Rorters can sign him if they think he is worth taking 1.2 m out of there salary cap. Open & transparent . We had a discussion on this a little while ago & there are a few more rules to add but if anyone is interested we can start another thread.
And there lies the problem.Been saying it for years, it’s not like it is ground breaking news. Of course the same rorts are not restricted to third party deals. You can do the same sort of thing unofficially with a players contracts. Wives getting bogus jobs, the possibilities are endless. Near impossible to police and the NRL certainly will not do anything that might upset the apple cart
This is still a restraint. Say in this example Roosters then withdraw their offer as they don't have the cap space. Tedesco is then unable to play at the club he wants to despite agreeing to terms with that clubThats why a players worth should be what the highest bidder is willing to pay. For example Rorters offer Tedesco "700k"( plus the under the table money) . Tigers offer 1.2 M. .As the market has now determined Tedescos value , he now costs the Rorters 1.2 m out of their salarycap not the bogus 700K . Have you dealt with the Australian consulate office recently? Think of the delays in getting passports renewed if you are Australian, then extrapolate that to getting a Visa for a Brit. Why would he have trouble getting into the country, been here before and Canberra have been bringing poms in by the truck load with no problems
What's Ethan Sanders' contract situation? Off contract for 2024?
If Eels retain MM, that will block his pathway as he is already 19 and about ready for his NRL debut me thinks. If we've made an offer as reported this could end up with a much bigger upside for Wests Tigers. We could have wrapped up many of the next-gen superstars for 2025...
It’s very rare that a kid is given serious NRL $$ before they debut & delivers to expectation’s.
Know this kid is one heck of a talent - if anyone could pick & develop a talented half it’s Sheens though.
When John came to Canberra is was just by himself so the immigration papers .. visa / passport application was simply .. this time he coming with an Australian wife .. a Pommy/Aussie son and .. his 13 year old English daughter. Hence the 4 year contract as Aussie Immigration wouldnt let his daughter in unless he had longer period to stay in 'Straya .. !! so he signed a 4 year deal with us .. dont worry he's coming .. wife is already looking for places out west .. for agistment for her horses ..Why would he have trouble getting into the country, been here before and Canberra have been bringing poms in by the truck load with no problems
