Signings, Suggestions & Rumours Discussion

Filling up with cultural diversity that isn’t necessarily aligned with Rugby league?? That’s a garbage comment. I have recently built in one of the new estates in the area and this couldn’t be further from the truth. There would be over 30 kids in my street under the age of six easily and all the parents follow Rugby League in some way. Mostly are Anglo background but that doesn’t mean anything anyway. We are an inclusive sport. My two boys play for Narellan Jets in under 7s and under 6s and there is a wide range of ethnicity’s playing the game.
The whole of Sydney has been Multicultural for a long time, you need to get with the times

I worked on 6-10 jobs in the area per week, Have done off and on (mostly on) for the last 12 years or so.
Last names on 80-90% of the house plans I see don't lie!!

How are the likes of the Chinese and Vietnamese Rugby League National teams doing?

I find Kent to be far more balanced in his views than just about any other "journalist" in murdochs media outlets.I certainly don't always agree with him but he seems to carry far less bias than the other flogs.
Kent is fine when he is being moderated by others. His problem is that sometimes he becomes totally unhinged and goes down stupid viewpoints.

I’ve lived in The Campbelltown/Camden area my whole life. We don’t have a large Chinese/Vietnamese community here

A major sticking point in the potential move for Crichton will be the coaching situation at the Tigers, with the second-rower debuting under Michael Maguire at South Sydney back in 2016.

The pair still share a relationship, and with other big names arriving at Concord next year in Isaiah Papali'i and Api Koroisau, it could be an enticing move for Crichton if Maguire does remain coach.

The offer is due to be made next week

Crichton is off-contract at the end of the year and will likely attract interest from plenty of rival clubs - but it is the Tigers who are in the box-seat to sign him.

The Sporting News have learned that Wests are planning a three-year deal worth over $700,000 per season, with the club expected to formally table the offer to Crichton within the next
WE need to make this happen, if we need to pay overs for this, so be it.
Angus would be one of our better signings of late, will add value on and off the field, and will attract other players to the club....yes make this happen W.T.

Hopefully the Don will be back in 2024 and the socialist democrat's under senile Joe will end thankfully
I don't want to derail this thread but you might want to research the term 'socialist' before using it to describe Joe Biden. Democratic socialism is a fringe ideology in America. The Republicans would have a much stronger claim to the term 'facist', but they're not a fascist party. Not yet at least.

Roosters if true and are in salary cap trouble. We should have a crack at getting Teddy back. Surely he would entertain it, having acheived almost everything in the game already. The thought of a return and getting to finals with his junior club along with the fanfare and a job for life at the tigers could get it across the line.

From what I've heard, Tedesco has very little regard for the club so I'd be surprised if he'd even entertain the idea of returning. We're better odds of bringing back Matterson or luring Braith Anasta out of retirement.

Fringe LOL LOL maybe saturated would be a better word

Check the NRL signings tracker, it has 29 spots filled including Naden
NRL are missing James Roberts, i realise he was on a Train and Trial to start the pre season but assumed as he has played a few games he was upgraded to an NRL contract as before round 10 you couldn't be selected without an exemption.

You can tell since the Triple M debacle Kent has dialled it down on NRL360 either that or they have sedated him.

He must still be on T&T or close to injury retirement.
I count 29 with Naden in and Roberts on T&T.

Looks like The Sporting News reads the WT forum same as the old buzzard.

My initial thoughts on the Angus C potential signing, was it was the old chestnut, talk to the Tigers to generate interest and hopefully get the Chooks to fill a brown paper bag or two. Anyway I am actually thinking this could have real legs.

Maybe now Greenberg has gone the Chooks actually have a cap like everyone else…Hard to believe but maybe the playing field is being made level

On signings, one guy I would sound out would be Josh Jackson. On a short term deal would be a ideal worker that every pack needs and a good fill till the young kids a ready in a couple of years. I know he is at the back end of his career, but he would get a job done

Would be ideal. Be a different forward pack next year either though our forward pack the last few rounds have been not only holding there own but even push back. Having API at hooker though will make a huge difference to our attack 😍
