Simona will miss 2 weeks, 3 if he fights and loses. Bodene will be free to play with an early guilty plea.

Does 2 weeks include the rep week given he has been picked by Samoa - hence he is only missing 1 week for Tigers

2nd time bodene has been charged in 6 months.

simona got off very lightly with just 2 weeks i reckon. was the same as alex mckinnon's imo

Yeah they said he misses the game on the news which means only one Tigers match.

2 weeks is soft. The MRC is a joke. Timmy's a good kid and it was an accident but there was no need to lift.

Very lucky boy only getting two weeks

Lets pick him for RMC or NSW Cup and waste another game LOL

Not a silly idea. There is a NSW Cup match next Saturday. If its legal go for it Wests Tigers.

They can't do it

He'd have to choose either the Rep game or NSW Cup

If we could put that NSW Cup game backwards until Tuesday , then we could talk turkey

It's looking like he'll miss two regular round games with an early plea.

Wests Tigers centre Tim Simona will spend at least two weeks on the sidelines after being charged with a Grade 2 Dangerous Throw tackle on Titans five eighth Aidan Sezer.

Simona, one of three players charged from yesterday's loss at Leichhardt, will be ruled out for the Tigers next two matches against the Roosters and Sharks with an early guilty plea, though an unsuccessful challenge would also rule him out of the Tigers' Round 11 clash with the Broncos.

Teammate Bodene Thompson and Titans utility Paul Carter will also front the judiciary for incidents in Sunday's match, with Carter set to receive a one-match suspension for a careless high tackle on David Nofoaluma due to carry-over points regardless of an early guilty plea.

Thompson will escape suspension with an early guilty plea to a Grade 1 charge of unnecessary use of his knees in an incident involving Titans lock Greg Bird, as will Raiders forward Brett White to a Grade 1 charge of tripping against Manly's Daly Cherry-Evans.

With regard to the charge on Thomson, I don't know how "unnecessary use of knees" can ever be in the same sentence as Greg Bird. Sounds pretty necessary to me.

You know what it is with Bodene?

The EXACT same thing that petulant little grub DCE did to Liam Fulton, and got totally brushed over. The Judiciary has a ot to answer for when big name players are constantly overlooked for grubby acts - read Slater, Tate, Hodges, DCE, Matai.

Mind you, Liam Fulton had been out with a concussion the week before, which made the act extra grubby.

What about Greg Bird getting sighted for striking Thompson in the face in the next tackle whilst his arms were pinned?

The Judiciary are as corrupt as all hell sometimes.

I saw Simona put up on his Facebook that he won't be playing for Samoa this weekend. So I guess it is just the one Tigers game he'll miss

I realise your joking, but would these games actually count considered they aren't run by the NRL/ARLC?

I suppose NSW Cup should as he has already played there this year?

I know the exact tackle youre talking about and just after he did it Phil Gould says how much he loves greg birds niggle. How bout his cowardly actions in hitting a man whos being held and the way he flopped like maradona lying on the ground like he was dead to get a penalty and one didnt come.Dont know why the channel nine guys edited the crap out of that so the viewers at home couldnt see it .Its like they are in on the greg bird lovefest aswell.Dont know why since he doesnt exactly have the greatest history.Or maybe thats what the tv station wants.

Yes I cannot fathom their love affair with this guy either. He is a grub on the field and off it. At least grubs like Ennis and Slater keep their unsavoury antics it ON the field only. I'm sorry, but I just can't forget that this man (for want of a better word) glassed his girlfriend in the face and then put the blame for it on his best mate - a real charmer. Says a lot about his character, or lack of it. That he gets all the praise he does in NRL circles makes me sick, tbh.

Great call.

Actually it's deemed unnecessary because Bird's brain isn't in his calf, it is in his buttocks.

Took the early guilty plea and misses 2 weeks. However the Samoa v Fiji game counts as one of the games he misses, so for us he'll on miss the Roosters game.

Thompson also took the early guilty plea and is free to play.
