Site Ads

Just a thought … How about making people who a ' Forum supporters ' and pay the $$$ have the ads removed as a benefit ?

Is this possible ?

Why? There aren't too many of them and they are around the perimeter of the screen. I used the Bitdefender advertising to get a good deal when I was looking for Antivirus software. The ad just happened to be on here when I was looking for a good price on that software.

I was stoked with the result! In a way it felt like I was supporting the forum too as I am sure these companies keep a record on how many sales they get as a result of the advertising.

I don't find them too in your face, but can understand if others do.

You can do it your self if you run Google Chrome with the "Adblock Plus (Beta)1.2" Extension and less work for the Admins.

You can do that on Firefox as well, I do it on heaps of sites.

I generally browse the forums from work. It is on their network and if one ad is labelled offensive it shuts me out from the web site until it gets unblocked.

Our network is so slow and the ads take a while to load up and I am unable to install anything as per my companies usage policy. BUT I am allowed to browse the net ' reasonably '
