I'm not being nasty mate I just don't think he will be the dynamic centre he used to be,that injury certainly did him in as far as playing ability goes.
He has been great over the years,however he must move on..

SKD has been rumoured to leave for a while now.
Why would they let Tupou leave? A young NSW and Aussie winger? Every club in the comp would want him. No chance he'll leave, but i'd take Tupou every day if i had a choice.

The Roosters will definitely let Tupou go when some dumb club offers him way too much for a winger. Good teams don't overpay outside backs. They have a prototypical style of player they recruit and just keep playing young guys that fit their mould. RTS > Tupou > MacDonald > Latrell Mitchell.
That being said if we can get the machine right we can make any outside backs work. The Dogs made the GF with a worse back five than our best 5 by a long way. As long as Tedesco, Moses, Brooks and Farah do the job and the forwards lay the platform you don't need outside backs to do anything but receive well worked plays. We have enough there to work with. Nofoaluma, Simona, Richards, Lawrence, Naiquama, Lulia, Seve, Fine, Hitchcox, Heleta … even a guy like Akauola or Liolevave at a pinch can play in the outside backs. I don't believe outside backs were our issue as much as having steady combinations in defence in the outside backs. It's more important that our outside backs be durable and build up defensive combos and learn to predict the movements of our playmakers than create themselves.
Besides all that, Simona and Nofoaluma are strike enough anyway and both are capable of providing enough individual flair. I see our major issue being defensive combinations across the park and this will simply be solved by consistently running out the same team and failing that having a really good list of depth that is planned and coached properly that can come in and understand their role in combination, which is how the Panthers managed their injury list so well.
I don't even believe we have issues at all outside of poor depth planning and management of our rosters as I see Te Maire Martin, Lamar Liolevave and Marion Seve providing exactly what we need in terms of backup/succession in the positions we need backup and all three of them know each other's games beautifully. I think Martin is every bit as good as Moses.
