We won't get out of this hole until the team is lead by an entire new group. Pay overs. The rest of the team is showing something. Our pack is going OK, Naden and AJ are strong in the centres and Tupou is a star.

I don't know how we do it, but we need a 1, 7 and 6 to join Api. They don't even have to be stars, they just have to have a winners mentality and compete.

Get Trindall and Kennedy as a package, pay overs for Wighton. I don't care.

If we have halves we would be 4 and 0 right now. Still plenty to work on, but we win the past 4 games with decent halves.

I'd even take Benji coming back right now.

Massive fan of Weekes, would love to sign him.

Maybe raw talent like Weeks and Welsby led around by Api and a solid half in Sezer is the go. I'm up for it.

Apart from the comment about Benji coming back i would agree with all of that,having a coach would help also

It was a mistake to let Madden and Hastings go. But can understand why:-

They relied too much on Moses signing, and
Hastings and Bat-man just would not work.

We've always needed a basic organisational halfback.

Benji appeared to play that role in his final year at south's when named.

Pearcy could play this role, so could Hastings.

None of our halves straighten, hit the inside shoulder of a defender getting them to turn in which opens up the outside. Wakeham looked like doing it a couple of times tonight but did it a half step too slow. He could work into it and improve. Brooks and Doueihi don't challenge the inside shoulder of the defence at all, so they just slide. We never look like stripping the edge bare because if this.

So here is the left field suggestion, Wakeham 7 and Matamua 6.

Looks awful on paper, but they are the 2 best players we have at doing the above. Matamua is like Shuster, played juniors as 6.

I'm desperate.
