Spudd as defence coach?

Just saw NRL Tonight and Spudd Carroll offered his services to Maguire to help out as defence coach. I'm not so sure if he would have the intricate knowledge of successful defensive systems in today's game but I think he would be a great addition to the club in a fitness/conditioning capacity. He is a winner who will not tolerate peahearts or blokes not putting in for the greater cause. Need more people with desire and fire in the belly around our club to start pulling ourselves out of the chasm we are in.

After listening to a few of James Graham's thoughts on the game I reckon he would do great with our forwards.

Anything is an upgrade.

MARK CARROL is very likeable.
He's helped a few players out improving their defence.

We could use him 💯

As much as I admire Spud I think that era is over unfortunately!

He's a personal trainer, I believe.
Definitely could improve a few things around the place.

Spud would be a great addition to the club. He is still in great shape considering he is in his 50s. He has a lot to do in the fitness industry. I believe he runs his own gym? (not sure no that one)

Remember egg shells don’t be to tough on these guys !

Has achieved a lot. In the media comes across as damaged goods but behind closed doors might be a different story? Certainly worth a try.

Can we, for ONCE, attract someone who a) has runs on the board; b) is not a rookie and c) is not at the end of their career - from board to water boys...please!

I wonder if anyone knows that he is a highly sought out personal trainer.

He may be a meathead looking guy but that doesn't mean he isn't extremely good at what he does

He's worked with a few players and improved their game.

He would definitely help us improve.
He's very relateable and likeable.

Always has a chat with the boys in reserve grade and gives them some tips and whatnot.

Any guy that smashes the cologne as much as I do is a legend in my books.

Was Russell Crowe’s bodyguard as well

Apart from Spud liking the sound of his own voice..he's more from a run hard tackle harder than the opposition type..yes we need a lot of that as well..a motivator .. as a tactician in the modern game with structures and patterns..not so much..

You only have to look at his commentary on KOE Cup..I just told em to get in there and belt it up..before the game

James Graham if he was interest would make a very good coach. I believe he is contracted in some capacity to the Dragons.

Ok not a direct quote but surely you’d remember when he’d say this about any forward.
“I was down on the sideline, and I thought that guys pretty big. And he stood right next to me. Well you wouldn’t believe it, this guy is a big lump of a man, about 6’3 6’4 woh”!
