Ok we lost against the Rabbitoes due to 4 stripping penalties. Everytime Souths dropped the ball we got penalized and 3 of which they tried after. Now I am over this BS. I've lost the urge to watch anymore. Oh how easy can refs adjust the game to their liking. I think people should start scrutinizing refs for betting scams. Players now just need to drop the ball whenever there is 2 or more tacklers whenever they feel contact on their carrying arm. I'm done with it. If this isnt fixed I'm not watching anymore.

I would love to see the strip rule tightened. I would love to see a penalty if you reef the ball out after the tackle has been completed. If a player loses the ball after its been hit out from behind then he wasn't respecting the ball and it should be play on.

I would love too see more responsibility put on the attacking team to hold the ball. I can't Imagine that the people who made the stripping/raking rule had those soft penalties in mind when attempting to fix the problem.

scruffnut if you ever put out a newspaper let me know - that's a corker of a headline!!!

Rest assured someone would be monitoring the refs for any betting scandals…

Refs, coaches and players can all make bad decisions during a game but at the end of the day there's 80 minutes of footy to be played and a couple of bad calls isn't going to make the difference! We had plenty of opportunities to seal the game away during that 80mins and if we can't capitalise on those, as history now shows, we didnt deserve to win!!
It's so easy for supporters to blame the refs on BS calls, and maybe they were; but how many instances went our way? No matter what the calls are, refs do their best and ANY good team can win no matter how bad they were!!
As for ref betting scandals… Pfft whatever!! Pick up a whistle and get out there and ref yourself cos it's not as easy on the field as it seems from you lounge room!! Typical couch referee!!

I'm sure you're aware of the challenge system in the NFL< but do you watch alot of NFL? A coach's challenge can take anywhere up to 6 or 7 minutes to work out, with the amount of video replays that the NFL use to guarantee the right call. The NFL is a much slower stop/start game while RL is a much more continuous game. I think a challenge system would serious damage the speed of the game at the expense of a few calls going the wrong way.
