OFFICIAL Sunia "Tito" Turuva

Definitely doesn’t apply in all situations. If you have good defensive centres and second rowers your wingers D is rarely tested. Haven’t seen much of Turuva in the centres but I’d be willing to give him a go there.
He spent a lot of reserve grade in the centres.

When you have to make a tackle on the wing, there’s a pretty fair chance you’re up shit creek. Your centres and second rower have generally missed their assignment.

His value will come from his early set carries and ability to beat defenders, which we severely lack. I just hope his knee isn’t chronic.

Still think centre is a big option.

Yep agreed. He has a pretty good footy brain and could certainly play centre in A. Just worry about his D at centre.

Only a bit, mainly fullback. In his last full season of reserve grade (2022), only 3 of 20 games in the centres. Since then in NRL cannot remember him starting any games at centre either.

Def agree with strengthening our squad.

Dane showed glimpses of brilliance, particularly early in his time with us. Then he got smashed, lost confidence and ultimately wanted to go back to Penrith and play ressies with his mates. Which is where he would be without injury to Edwards. Great back up player.
I really think Dane got the Sheenius treatment.

Yes he was weak at running the ball back. That stat hurt us. However it was a stat that could have been improved on.

On one side of the coin, he can catch and score.

On the other side, Daine Laurie looks like Billy Slater in that Penrith team.

Who knows
Daine lost the ball in the first tackle leading to an easy Parra try and was the main reason why Penrith were chasing all night....

And he is ordinary in defence...

OPSM/Specsavers etc could help with your question

Possibly, but other small fullbacks like Paps seem to manage.

I don't see a problem in having both swap between fullback and centre during a game. Gives the opposition something to think about and also gives us a look at both players in both positions. Teams have done this type of swapping in the past and eventually one player demands the fullback role.
Serioulsly mate?

When has that EVER worked aside from Karmichael Hunt and Justin Hodges in 2006??

Don’t forget how Charlie Staines looked in that team. Not too dissimilar to Turuva at all. There are players (Api, Luai), who are clearly class, regardless of the jersey. Those players lead the way and are actually responsible for players around them looking better than what they are. Coincidentally, players like Staines, Laurie and Turuva.

Charlie was a fill in for that team and mostly in nsw cup - that's very different to Turuva

Agreed, and Staines got enough first grade time at Penrith to show some promise.

Still back Turuva to be better then our current wingers.

Load of rubbish. Staines is a cat, Sunia runs without fear.
