Just finished watching the replay on Fox here in W.A and I've got to say, surely we can do better than what was shown tonight? I know it's still early days, and we have a few bodies out with injury, and there's alot of improvement left, but at times tonight it was like watching a team that had never played with each other before. There is bugger all cohesion or direction in attack, our forwards seem to have no idea how to run onto a ball at speed…. do we even have a halfback at the moment?
I thought Marshall and Farah had decent if not spectacular games, but is seems as if we only have half a spine! Moltzen may as well be watching from the sidelines for all the impact he has (and I am a fan of his), while Humble can catch a high ball and that's about it. Woods made some good yards at various stages, BMM had another good game, Bell was solid. Blair didn't seem to care much what happened at times apart from one good hit. Heino seems to think he is a ball player now, and Fulton handled the ball more than our god damned halfback, but at least he actually wanted it and had a go which is more than can be said for Moltzen.
I hate to go off on a rant like this but WTF? Reserve grade sides in Group 9 complete their sets better than we did tonight and their discipline is better too. I've run out of stuff to say but it hasn't lessened the frustration. Bed time I think.
If we had 17 guys like Beau Ryan we would never lose a game.
