OFFICIAL Terrell May

I’ve already stated my feelings on this. All im saying is the optics weren’t good, and a few months later he’s gone, and Smith is on the outer. I don’t trust the NRL as far as I can throw them when it comes to drugs.
It's not the distrust in the NRL that's the bother, it's the inference May was punted for being on them.

That video was not a good look.
Nope...not good at all , probably why unca N was so so very defensive, 🤔
Some people just have their head so far up their arse when it suits them its not funny

Like someone else mentioned earlier, I really dont care what any of our players do in the own time...but it often has a habit of overlapping and interfering wityh being a pro sportsman unfortunately

Im not sure drug testing took place, give the Roosters stance that nothing of the sort took place and any inference that it did would be met with legal action...the silence from the NRL & media thereafter was deafening

I really hope he can be the player hes talking about being. We need leaders and we need players that the opposition are worried where they are on the field at any given moment

Plus, Coke is out the system so fast, even if they caught wind of it 3 days later, and drug tested them, even then it would be too late. Reminds me of when Mitchell Pearce had the dog incident. Rumours were he was on coke, yet conveniently left the country two days later.

They were tested,
Remember that bean Newton going off about it (Below)
Like I said, if he had signed anywhere else - We'd all be banging on about the video.
But lots of 2+2 doesn't always = 4 here now he's a Tiger.

Now the Sydney Morning Herald has reported NRL drug testers on Tuesday conducted target testing on four players in the video.

The NRL’s target testing policy is separate to anti-doping tests conducted under WADA rules on game-day.

“It’s an abhorrent abuse of power,” Rugby League Players Association boss Clint Newton said in the report. “The players opt into this policy. If this is the way it’s going to be rolled out, we’ll have a serious think about blowing it up. This is not the way it is intended to be used.”

Anyway, If anything was to come of it - It already has....
Pretty sure first offences are unreported, So they've dealt with it whatever it is / was.
He's a Tiger now - And hopefully a lot smarter from that whole occurance.

The two words that convinced Terrell May to join Tigers

Terrell May only needed to hear two words from Benji Marshall to join Wests Tigers as the NRL club's most significant middle forward signing in years.

Family first.

The Sydney Roosters stunned the rugby league world in late October by giving newly re-signed May permission to negotiate with rival clubs following a breakout season that had him on the cusp of NSW selection.

May has since moved on from the tough break-up.

"I just feel like I'm a Tiger now and I'm in the present," he said.

"I don't want to talk about the past anymore, whatever's said was said, let's move on from that."

There was no shortage of clubs chasing his signature but the prop ultimately signed with the Tigers as the last in a string of big-name recruits for Marshall's second season in charge.

He will formally commence training in the new year, but arrived at Concord for his first official day on Saturday.

"Everyone gets along here and the training looks good, to be honest," the 25-year-old said.

It has been a full-circle moment to reunite with Marshall, who was at the Tigers when May first arrived there as a 20-year-old.

As he went on to debut at the Roosters and become a first-grade mainstay, the younger man never forgot how Marshall took him under his wing.

"He looked after me as a younger guy and I want to pay him back because he's the reason I came here, that meeting I had with him," May said.

Becoming a first-grade star has come with blowback for May, who raised eyebrows during the finals series for comments that rugby league was not his whole life.

Marshall, though, knew where May was coming from; he'd caused a stir earlier in the year for going on an overseas family holiday during a bye week.

Family was front of mind for May when he and Marshall spoke about the possibility of a move to the Tigers.

"It was just amazing to see someone put their family before footy. That's exactly what I do," he said.

"He just told me he was going to put his family first like I do. Family first for me, then footy. It was amazing to hear a coach say that, it's refreshing.

"I've never heard a coach say that before. I'm keen to play under Benji and I'm going do everything I can for this club and for Benji to pay them back."

He has also reunited with fellow recruit Jarome Luai, who played with May's brothers Tyrone and Taylan at Penrith before arriving at Wests as a potentially franchise-altering signing.

On Saturday, Luai spent an hour-and-a-half in searing heat signing autographs and taking selfies with fans at the Tigers' open training session.

Every other player had long since left with Luai out in the sun so long that staff became worried for his health and brought him a hat.

It's a far cry from the Jarome Luai that May knew growing up in Sydney's west.

"He's blossomed heaps. I remember him always being immature and just that guy that mocks everyone but he's really taken on his role of leadership," May said.

"It's surprising to see because I've known him as that mocking, young, immature dude. It's good to see him like this now."

That vlog with Mr. May was cracker

He seems genuine and put a lot of effort into their upbringing.

Hope Terrell has an amazing career ahead at the Tigers.
Also hope Taylan realises his potential and joins us.

I really enjoyed the interview with his dad. Raw as.
I appreciated hearing his honesty especially. We
got a good one with Terrell, if his brother joins us
as well we have the makings of a new dynasty lessgo.

I'm not saying we're going 2 go from the cellar 2 the
penthouse in 1 season but the days of suffering
are behind us, nobody deserves it more than us...

I wouldn't mind seeing May have a run at lock. Can play plenty of minutes, runs hard, good passing game and 98% tackle efficiency. I could see him very much in the Isaah Yeo mould.
I was wondering when this would get mentioned. His has silky ball playing skills.

Tough upbringing in Western Sydney and whilst the MAY family could have have done some potentially terrible things, Terrell seems to be well balanced and I wish him well in his Tigers career. To grow up with such dramas and exposure to some of the things they have seen does influence who or what you can become. Tiny seems to be a bit of a wild child which could explain some of the allegations against him.
