The bench

Is it a coincidence that the first week we've had the 4 big boys on the bench again in months we've killed the opposition?

we have the forwards that's for sure I said it before the game that go against the dogs wouldn't be a problem that was back in Sheens days it once was, our issues now are out wide (mostly due to injuries) and the dogs don't have any speed

what about Tapau great tackle to save that try when Mitch Brown got away!

i thought ava was excellent today.
would like to see him extended. quietly gone about his business this year and done the job.good group of props with the potential of lodge waiting in the lower grades.
would hate to lose some of that depth if ava left.

hope i missed his extension.

Just think if Sheens was still our coach we would have had Koro still on the bench for 77 mins with a couple of centres that he will put in the 2nd row.

This is Potters team he needs to be signed for 1 more year to be given another chance, the injuries the last 2 years is a joke for him to be sacked

Ava is very underrated. He's definitely one of my favourites. He gets through the line and earns a lot of fast play the balls.

Ava looks like he's kidwell when he's playing these days. Has a huge impact when he's on. Seems to have settled I to the role well. The bench was awesome.

Have to say that having Bodene (to a lesser extent Sironen) allows us to not have a reserve bench. In the case of an injury we can cover most positions

Hope to see Bodene re-signed soon. He'd be a big loss.

Ava's best game all year. Played like that early last year and have been waiting for him to show that form week in week out.

What a massive bench we have we smashed them in he forward pack today and how good was Robbie Farah today best hooker in the comp. Im sure he will win the dally m hooker this year.

The key to us making the 8 is the current bench….they were awesome again...I just love the go forward of Ava, the strength of Sue and the energy and hunger of Tapau and Gavet,...they stay healthy and we are in with a real chance

think you hit the nail on the head with this post. We can have a big bench now as bodenine and sirro can cover half and centre if injury happen in the backs. farah off. austin to hooker. and sirro to five eight. lawrence off. bodenine to centre.

the game changed for us once the bench was thrown into the game we really got more for our bench than the dogs. the whole forward pack, bench included were great. Its going to be hard to drop moses even if we had teddy, I guess Austin will go back to the bench and one of the pigs will get dropped, would be a shame.

i remember gus saying "bulldogs forwards are running at will like there is nothing in the tigers pack that can hurt them" then came taupau.
