What was the go tonight?

I walk into LO just after kick off tonight - I could have sworn I had got the night wrong because I could hear a pin drop! It was awesome that we got 18k to the game but was everyone in the crowd a mute?

It was reflected in the Tigers play - they were embarrisingly flat tonight.

Sigh.

thankyou! someone else noticed it. i thought i was goin crazy. the hill was so quiet! im thinking maybe the monday night crowd is a different demographic, eg heaps of gfs/wives or wateva just going along for a night out?

It was a bit quiet. I think we were very nervous about how the Tigers would go. Lote's injury also took the wind out of the sails early. The place errupted after Fulton's try and obviously after the field goal. The Storm game on that Sunday Afternoon will be the place to be for atmosphere. 18 000 was an outstanding Monday night crowd though.

And can they please fix the PA system!

Made the trip down from newcastle; Very very quiet first 65 minutes.
Last 10-15 & golden point the crowd started to fire up a bit.

Ummmm…....no, that was leichhardt. Was that your first time there?

A little fact is that it is always quiet. You yell polite advice to the players and you get half the hill turn around and look at you like you have two heads. Great crowd last night, but the ground has a picnic atmosphere, not an intimidating atmosphere.

it was a bit quiet at times which can happen when a tense match is being played. but you are right. leichardt is a graveyard … for opposition teams !

All of our home crowds have been pretty dead for large patches for a few years.

The simple reason is that we are Wests Tigers fans and unless the team is completely on song we are flooded with a sense of impending doom as we know we can throw away any game at any time

It livened up leichhardt is very vocal just ask my kids they hate all the noise.Once again a few just cant seem to let go of the leichhardt vs c-town thing…..usual suspects of course......we win games there thats the main thing.

Funny,

Everyone else is just giving an opinion on the evening and their experience of the ground, but your post is the first mention of Campbelltown. I assume you group yourself as a usual suspect, no?

Was a bit dead, but i think everyone was expecting a better performance than what was dished up, and the NYC didnt start the ball rolling that well. And i know the big screen is a joke where they put it, but i suppose they dont have many options in that regard, as they hire it in. I was sitting in front of those stupid speakers on the hill side, i dont know why they put them there, no one ever uses them anyhow, they have the bloke from foxtel walking along the sideline with a microphone.

This definitely wasn't a LO v CS thread.

Simply stating a fact. For about 75 minutes of last nights game I could chat to my mate at the other side of the stadium without using my mobile.

It is a comparison to all NRL grounds that I have attended (predominantly in the Sydney area). Leichhardt is a lovely ground, but it is quiet and not very intimidating.
