The James Gavet Story - "I miss Mosese"

I hope he goes well, seriously. I'm just not concerned about losing him. Yes he did play some good games early in the season for us however it was on the back of the platform that guys like woods, Galloway, Thompson, Blair, taupau etc laid. At full strength I can't see him making our side. Woods, kg, taupau, Ava, sue and lodge and all much better players then him IMO. Plus Dallas graham is a great young prop who by all reports has a fantastic attitude.

Gavet is a lot of show. Yeah he runs straight and hard which is great, but he often loses the ball, has no passing game, gives away penalties and for his size is probably the worst defender in the NRL. He is a massive arm grabber.

Also We simply couldn't continue to select a guy who turned up late to 2 games! What. Terrible example it would be setting to such a young squad. Turn up when you like and still play first grade?!

As I said I hope he goes well up in Brisbane, I just don't think it will be a loss to us.

I don't think anyone doesn't want to see James fail at the Broncos, or at life in general. This is only from my perspective, but it seems that the people who are a little critical of the article are suggesting that the time for talk is over and it's time he starting living up to the expectations he sets for himself as a person. That doesn't really strike me as a lack of empathy, rather hoping for him to turn his life around instead of just talking about it.

A lot of people have a crap start at life and are surrounded by terrible influences and don't follow that path. It's up to the person to determine which way they go in life.

The lack of empathy on this website is astounding….

Good on James. I wish him the very best in all his future endeavours.

I think most everybody wishes James well.

Of course people wish him well, as a human being.

Specifically as a footballer, if you can't keep your stuff together to perform, you gotta go. It's not about being heartless, it's about being in a tough and super professional market; there are only so many footy places to go around.

Yep and that's the problem

There are probably 20-30 players just as good without all the baggage

And the same thing goes on in life

Not saying it is right or wrong just saying it how it is

Its not a lack of empathy
Everyone wishes him well, as a person and in life
However how often do you roll out the past as an excuse for the present - blown it with 2 clubs and now onto a third with the first major story published a rehash of all the issues in the past
He needs to move on and hopefully Bennett may be able to put him under his wing like Boyd - so long as he doesn't tear the WT's up anytime
