The plan, the vision...the long term?

What is the clubs plans?

When Sheens arrived he had a very definite 5 year plan from the outset, iirc building up to regular semi finalists, to top 4 quality by year 4 and a premiership in about 2007.
We all know we got their sooner than planned.

The next few years will see some of the biggest changes in the clubs history….it was tough when blokes like Hodgo, Buckets & Skando left......when Robbie, Benji, Liam & Keith hang up the boots in a few years the squad will be remarkably different.....but by the time we have to deal with this....with the juniors and their potential coming thru, with Potter having had a few years here and hopefully having the boys firing the way he wants, and with they type of player he wants to recruit......it all augurs well in terms of timing imo for the next chapter that is Wests Tigers heading into the 2020's.

I'm interested to see if Farah and Benji can win another premiership in their careers… seems like one would not be enough for either of them [but then again Hindmarsh and many other legends didn't win at all]

dont think we need a 5 year plan, there are just too many variables.

imo a good 2 year plan will suffice. taking it week by week

x2

I definitely expect to see some strategic orientation and 'long term thinking' from MP.
As he is still 'rookie' at WT, I accept it is probably too early, e.g. "important, not urgent' category, however, by the end of the season this must become 'important, urgent'.

Go Tigers

We have a plethora of young talent coming thru we need to usher them through over the next few years to ensure we remain strong once we start losing this current bunch

The whole plan in the short term revolves around one person Coach Potter if he is successful things are looking good, but on the negative if he fails things could go pear shaped very quickly.IMO the next 2 seasons are the most important the club has faced!

What determines success and failure?

See….everyone will have a differing opinion here, so too the club, and MP himself I guess.

Two years is nothing for a new coach,,,,,it could easily be at least two years before he could say he has the type of players he wants & has them team the way he wants
Hopefully we are looking a bit beyond the end of next season in certain aspects...Im sure they are

I think we will be sweet we will be a force this year we have a strong team on paper and im sure Mick Potter knows who he wants to try signing for next year but i cant wait to show what we truly can do on the field this year and beyond.
