The Sheens meltdown

And this same old tired excuse is why we will never attract the top coaches. The fact that a Neville nobody from the board room thinks he has the right to tell a coach who to select or let go is a disgrace. The board has a job to play - telling a coach who to sign and who to let go is not it.

I have no problem with board sacking Sheens but that is where their role ends.

What part of LEAKED INFORMATION do you people not understand. Sheens has done the right thing here and tried to smooth it over... He has done nothing wrong here... FFS he has stuck up for Benji and got another 2 years from him?

Before u all jump the gun I think u will find the story was leaked to media. They have hit sheens up about it and he has defended benji. Think logically. !!!!!
There is no need to bring it up
he and benji are close.
Heis coaching Aus. Not the tigers. His mind is on that. This whole circus is a media beat up.

Thats what i've been thinking all along. There is no way Sheens would just bring this up, why would he? He risks losing Benji and a lot of other players so why in the world would he voluntarily do it. Clearly he's been approached by a media source and told they're going to print. At least this way Sheens has come out and had his say on this issue. It's far from ideal to say the least but i think Sheens has done his best to settle to story down.

It's quite evident to me that there are some people who are thinking along the lines of common sense and then there are others out there who are thinking "look for anything to sack Sheens." I just think it's pretty sad being honest

It may be how the situation is but that doesnt mean we cannot become one identity. We need people willing to take these hacks on and that is one of the primary reasons I am Sheens fan. He is not a yes man. He has from the very beginning questioned the structure of the JV and tried to make changes for the betterment of the club. Until these hacks stay out of the football team and its management, this club will never create a winning culture.

Using logic it is not hard to come to that conclusion.

I have no doubts though that the person responsible for this leak and the leaking of the Longmuir emails to the Telegraph will stand without opposition for re-appointment to the board. That is the truly sad part of all of this for mine

I knew it! Figured the media had been tipped off by someone within. Which is shame. I'm assuming this bad influence is also responsible for holding the club back on previous occasions. Most likely to enhance his own agenda.

This story was designed to unsettle Benji.

A business would be stupid in the extreme not asses the risk of a major decession such as resigning Benji.

I remember discussing the pros and cons of a 350K per annum decission amongst other fellow Tiger nuts at the time.

Different people have different oppinions.

Whats with the Sheens bashing? the tone of some of these posts is bordering on malicious.

The best form of defence is often attack. Is Sheens about to get marched? he is a master of self preservation having come through the last few seasons unscathed while having sub-standard results.

Makes me think there has already been some talk of it and he knows it, I just cannot fathom the point of this otherwise. As someone else posted Sheens isn't stupid he is crafty enough to know exactly what he is doing even if the real reason isn't known yet.
