But they couldnt walk the walk …..
thats why gibbs and fifita and co are not needed beyond this season ....
55% of the ball .. 6 penalties in the second half and barring gareth ellis our forward packed was totally outplayed by a lesser pack of forwards .....
there wont be any celebrations this year .....
 
I thought the forwards were working their guts out when they were given the ball the problem seemed to be that we wanted to play around the Storm today

No idea

Forwards get the field position, backs finish off.
Looked to me we spent almost the entire 2nd half in their half.
 
wtg ink ….we got 6 piggybacks into their half .. now whos the one with no idea ....your a funny guy ink if you think our forwards did well ....
 
To be honest we just arent as good a side as Melbourne. We limped to a semi final last year, and stuck with Saints in a semi (but seriously if you cant fire up and put it all on the line for a semi then you should give it away), and from that everyone thinks we are high quality premiership material We are a decent side, but no team should win the comp without a high quality number 1 or a kicking game.

Melbourne are a better side.

They are they have the best 1,7,9 combination in the comp those 3 compliment each others game….we can beat them but we were a bit flat in attack today.

I thought Gibbs did well, and was unlucky at times. Fifita didn't play his best but not worth a "we won't miss you" post. I though Melbourne had great defense on the edges. The backs didn't even drop the ball the way they did like the penrith game, the better team just won today.

Not sure where people get there stats from on here but we had 58% of the ball. Forwards were fine. When we had the ball we had no idea. Storm are extremely well coached and we either don't listen to our coach or are poorly coached.

ED, after all these years I think its the latter - therin lies your cancer. Sheens has to call bellamy and bennett this week on the phone. Sometimes i think Sheens lives in the clouds. But if anyone can do it it is Sheens - he has been to the top before.
