What do you think about Braith Anasta? Should the tigers keep him next year?

for me Against manly he played the worst game on his career !! :sign:

Thoughts of Braith?

as Gus would say NO NO NO NO NO!! unless you want him to continue to tear the team apart for last place then sure

Despite the fact he has been ordinary in the forwards i thought he was solid when given a chance in the halves earlier in the Year and much improved against the gold coast, despite Manly probably being his worst game of his career.
Particulary the kick for fulton was exactly the sort of attacking kick we have been missing.

Given how little halves football he has played in the last few years, his being rusty is understandable.

I'd prefer benji was moved on and that anasta finifhed out the year at 5/8 to see if he can get his grove back.

A decent attacking kicking game and a level head on the last play is exactly what we are missing at the moment, not to mettion a decent defender in the halves and while i dont think he is at the stage of his career he can become a world beater again, i think he can at least offer us the two things above and be a good foil for brooks inexperience.

In an ideal world you wouldn't have him, but we are in a world pretty far removed from that…
I still think he has a bit to offer.

He reads the play well but like Steve Rogers at the Saints hasn't got the legs to do anything about it,all downhill from here but it eventually happens to every player so its best to retire gracefully.

As a player their is no where for him in the top 17, the skills he offers are way out weighed buy his lack of speed, lack of size and his age. Time to hang up the boots Braith, your a good style of bloke with a squeaky clean image so their will be a good job for you in the media

I can accept him being rusty and out of sorts with his timing, but he hasn't been close to what we should expect from a player with his resume.

Premierships, GF appearances, Origins and Tests plus nearly 300 first grade games….he shouldn't need such a long warming up period.

i liked the idea at first…

then my old man made the point that the roosters got rid of him.. and look where they are now... admittedly they have better all round troops, but you get the drift.

I'd move Benji to half & let Braith play 5/8 the rest of the season. If he can't get some level of improvement by the last round, you let him go.

It's not like he'll be holding anyone back in the lower grades these last few weeks.

If Koro is fit, drop Ayshford completely, move Simona inside.

Tigers Problems in 2012 and 2013 are bigger than what we here on the WTF tend to do in trashing a handful of players or the coach.

Sheens
Moltzen,
Blair,
Benji
Anasta
Potter

The season is over for us so we should be experimenting…...benji will not be with us next year so move him to halfback. ( no need to blood brooks and moses ). Play Anasta at 5/8 and see how he goes. He is contracted to the tigers for next year so lets see if we can use him.

I don't believe we can start the season with two rookie halves so Anasta could be useful. And it makes sense to use him now and decide if we can move forward with him rather than dick around for the first 8 weeks of 2014.

I would give benji his fairtale finish of 200 games....but at halfback, the way he is playing he should be grateful for that.

Anasta is as useless as tits on a bull,if he is anywhere near first grade next year we got really big issues.

Wasted position. I would rather persevere with Brooks and Sirro next year than watch 'slow motion Anasta' run around in the squad again.

Needs to go back to State Cup or go altogether.

I thought his form would have been a lot better than it has been. His game against Manly was woeful. A bloke of his experience should be doing a lot better regardless of age, he needs to PUMP UP starting this week.
