Wests Tigers have moved to lock up promising playmakers Luke Brooks and Mitchell Moses, tabling three-year deals to to keep them at the club.

Brooks and Moses are considered the best young halves in the game and could make their NRL debuts this season. They are both contracted until the end of next year but the Tigers want to secure their services in the long term before they hit the open market.

Tigers officials hope they can afford to keep them and upgrade the contract of Benji Marshall, who has been promised a renegotiation after a lift in the salary cap.

Should they take up the deal, Moses and Brooks will jump from a second-tier contract to a top-25 one, with lucrative incentives should they consistently play first grade.

''I've been quite vocal that the two halves are a priority for us,'' said Tigers chief operating officer Grant Mayer.

''The offer we've made is very strong and it shows our intent that we want the boys to stay here. Mitchell and Luke have shown over a number of years they have the ability to play first grade long-term.

''They contracted until the end of 2014 but we won't be resting on our laurels, we'll be trying to lock these kids up as quick as we possibly can.''

Moses, nephew of Tigers great Benny Elias, was named the SG Ball player of the year last year. The Holy Cross Rhinos junior is back in the NYC after returning from injury and fellow teenager Brooks isn't far away from an NRL call-up.

Forwards Kyle Lovett and Brenden Santi have also been offered new deals.

The Tigers have turned the corner in recent weeks, winning four of their past five matches.

Mayer was bemused by speculation over the future of coach Mick Potter.

''It's intriguing that there continues to be speculation over a coach of a team who has won four out of five,'' he said. ''The reality is we've gone through a tough injury crisis at the club and all of a sudden, with some of our key players back on the field, we're winning some great games of footy.

''We've got Cronulla Sharks and then a bye - we could soon be on the cusp of the eight.''

Hopefully these 4 players are signed and sealed for the next 3-4 years moving forward. Lovett and Santi will probably push for FG bench spots next year in the event of injuries and both have very good motors on them and get through a lot of work which is something a few of our current backrowers could improve on.

Awesome move from the club! Hopefully will lock up a few positions with some real quality for the next few years!

Did I read somewhere we had signed Nathan Brown on longer aswell? Or did I imagine that?

Very good finaly we have a smart ceo that knows what his doing looking up our future and we dont make the same mistakes by letting the good players leave and we are starting to recruit well for next season to.

Love the transparency Mayer is bringing to our club. Good news with our key youngsters, but with Benji he must come to a realisation that he is no longer a million dollar prospect at our club! If he wants to stay a Tiger for life drop his manager and keep his cut! I hope we sort out the Sheens fiasco next, and move onto a priority "Rolls" Royce Simmons EXIT strategy!

Is it just me or since Humphries left common sence has crept it's way into the club and rash decisions are no longer made. Well done Mayer your the man

That's the easy part , now we will have to fight off every club in the NRL who want to get their greasy paws all over these two

True. Tabling offers is a no brainer, we just have to hope the boys see their long term futures at the WT's. The good news is they're all local boys, so hopefully they'll all stay with us. If one re-signs I think they all will such is the mateship with these lads.

Don't underestimate the impact of our 2005 grand final win either. These boys would have been talented kids who enjoyed sports back then, but the win may have inspired them to play league instead of another code, with dreams of replicating the Tigers success.

Interesting! Marshall, Moses and Brooks all have contracts on the table at the same time. Hoping for the most important player for our future imo to sign - Brooks. Surely there is interest from other clubs.
