Tim Sheens determined to see out his contract with Wests Tig

I am feeling very disillusioned at the moment. The way we wimped out of the finals race hurt bad. But I was a supporter of Balmain through two heartbreaking grand final losses and the following fifteen years of abject mediocrity, culminating in the 1994 wooden spoon and the waste of millions of dollars on worthless player recruitment in the wake of the merger. We have been through worse than this as a fan base. If Sheens is going to be here for another two seasons then so be it. It's not my ideal situation but I will be renewing my membership next year for myself and my kids because I love this club with every fibre of my being and no matter what happens, top of the table or bottom, they will always have my support. Tigers in 2013!!

The great news is that Royce coming back wont cost anyone else a job….masterstroke by Sheens that has me very excited for 2013

Look, it's really out of our hands but the positive here is that some noise has been made and sheens won't feel too comfortable anymore. He knows we are not happy and hopefully that translates to a more objective coaching being done next year. That's all I can hope for anyway!

So it looks like we're in for more of the same soft up the middle paper thin defence, inconsistency from one week to the next, outdated, unstructured ad lib plays, weak mental preparation, injuries that take forever to heal, excuses for not turning up to play and weekly articles telling anyone who actually cares anymore that "the Tigers' season has to start now!" Gee, I can't wait for next season :unamused: This club must really hate its supporters.

That is true….I also heard Sheens has been told already anything less than making the GF in 2013 would been seen as a failure and not acceptable...

Well if Coach Sheens is indeed staying to see out his contract, lets just be positive. WE NEED A DECENT HALF-BACK, and we need to do A LOT OF WORK ON OUR DEFENCE, and we need more depth. Is this achievable !

We also need the club to start spending more money on player rehabilitation des does well because he keeps his top players on the field by spending more money on fitness, rehab, etc

Unfortunatly this must not be of interest to Sheens being a senior in thinking and never changing your resolve its irelevent. This type of thinking is the new breed of coach with managment of injury prevention /rehab being the top priority and it works as the younger coaches are able to keep there top players on the field at a higher level than Sheens could imagine .There is a track record with this going back years remember the years not long ago when the hammy problem was a weekly issue, this is about surrounding yourself with people with proven track records…. well one can dream that it will happen one day at the Tigers!

To think a club as average and desperate as Penrith begged for the guru and we knocked them back. I could almost cry about that. The guru swooped on his 5 minutes of fame, and suckered Humpty into another 3 or 4 years. Just sad.

Flip I don't think we will be inconsistant next season

I think we will be bad next season and the penny still won't drop after 2013 either
