Hunter sport groups has handed back the jets license look out benny and the knights this guy is ruthless it's his way or the highway

In my opinion it is a smoke-screen. He did it to the Knights too when they were unable to agree on things.

He seems to like to take his ball and go home, only to hide around the corner before coming back and giving them one last chance.

If he does pull out and another team folds, it does make a mockery of the announcement of a new team in Sydney doesn't it?

can't blame him
if you were forking out alot of your own money.
not getting a great return you'd think about why you are wasting your money.
( unless its for way of a tax write off)

Pulling your A-League licence the day of the Johnny Warren Medal? That's one hell of a smoke-screen.

The FFA and A-League are a mess, it's a shame all you read about are the issues surrounding GCU, the new Sydney teams and now this considering how high the quality of play is these days. That Roar-Mariners game on Sunday was exceptional.

was listening to troy palmer of tinkler sports group ( wonder if any relation to that oaf clive ) on the bsb this morning and he deliberately did not reveal that ffa actually gave the tinkler sports group 6 months to go over all the reqs and costs to run an a-league team before they made any decision to take up the licence on offer from the ffa. the tinkler group took only two days of negotiations and considerations with frank lowy to decide that they would indeed take up the jets 10 year licence with the commitment to provide a sporting team that the people of the hunter would be proud of and would aspire to. now after just two seasons tinkler has pulled the pin on the jets. well done nathan tinkler … now thats putting back to the community. what a charlatan you are and beware you knights, if this bloke gets jack of the new nrl commission at any time in the future he now has form on the board. a contract is a contract ... tinkler group = not to be trusted

Ego maniac by the sounds of it

Bingo. Has a history of spitting the dummy when things don't go his way. Complains he paid overs for his licence for the Jets… who's the idiot who didn't do his due diligence then? Must have taken business classes with Peter Doust.

Any average Joe can tell you that A-League clubs are not money spinners, and buying one with this intention is foolhardy. IIRC, the Melbourne Victory are the only team that turns a profit.

Knights are covered by money in an account he cannot access as by the terms of the deal.

Figures of around $20 million are about right
