Total overhaul

Wests this, Tigers that, it goes on and on. Is it time to ditch our colours, name, mascots and home grounds. It's the only way forward, not just for the fans, but all stakeholders.
THESE ARE ALL SUGGESTIONS. Lets start with name. Out of all the teams in SYDNEY, if anyone should carry the name, I think we have all bases covered, Balmain to Campbelltown. With mascot like always, something unique, something no one in the world has, it's hard but I'll throw in the MUSCLE. Colours will be AQUA and WHITE. Home ground to be central and have no connection to any previous grounds.
NAME - SYDNEY MUSCLE
COLOURS - AQUA and WHITE
HOME GROUND - ANZ ( mean time ) or newly built stadium in the future.
I personally don't mind with a change, if this rubbish continues. PLEASE SHARE YOUR THOUGHTS/IDEAS.

We are Wests Tigers - modern successful rugby league team 200 years of combined history.

If Balmain or Wests did not want to continue in a JV then both would folded. Why on earth would we creat some obscure new identity?

I agree with where you're coming from, but …

I don't think there is anything wrong with Wests Tigers name, brand or colours. It's powerful, identifiable and already has one first grade and one U20 premiership attached to it. No one wants to throw that away.

Yes, Home ground is an issue. I don't have an answer cos I don't live in Sydney. I'll leave that for the locals to work out.

But David Trodden basically hit the nail on the head in his recent remarks. We need a board without ties to the old clubs. We need fans to treat Wests Tigers as a standalone entity, not a joint venture.

A single team in NSW Cup next year will go a long way to help fans move on. The past 13 years are more relevant to our future than the previous 100 years. I think the majority of fans realize this. It's just the noisy minority (fans and officials) that are holding us back.

I have high hopes for 2013\. New coach. New NSW Cup identity. New era. We need to build on what we have achieved in the past 13 years, not restart from scratch.

I was a Balmain Tigers supporter and always supported the Western Suburbs Magpies as my second team. When they were forced into a merger I could not have been happier, but also knew there would be a rocky road ahead. To suggest we should abandon the two teams past and current merger identity ten plus years later is the single most nonsensical thing ever written in this forum.
