Can someone explain the issues with Travis Waddell and the duel registartions issue Supposedly he can only play with Souths Logan in Brisbane I tried to work it out Can someone please explain it Thanks

Its just Geoff Carr being the peanut he is and forcing Canberra Raiders to have thier fringe players playing in the NSW Cup. He is concerned the Queensland Cup is a better competition and cant bear to accept this fact. As Waddell was still registered with Souths Logan, he is ineligable to play for Canberra…

Its no different to why the Sunshine Coast Sea Eagles couldnt play any Manly player from this year on, even though Manly are still providing some minor funding to the club.

To make it simple mate, its no different than NSWRL vs QRL BS which has been going on for years...

So basically he was registered under the QRL banner and NSW were refusing to let play under the NSWRL banner .Bloody Mexicans

He had a choice between playing for Souths Logan or in the Canberra Raiders Cup.

He was told he was on the fringe and likely not to play NRL and as such he chose Qld Cup.

All parties knew what this meant as far as playing.

The actual issue of the NSWRL was providing entry to Matt and SG Ball competitions, giving them the benefit of the competition run by the NSWRL and losing those players to the system.

If they wanted to enter a team in the Matts and Ball comps they had to be involved in the NSWRL at a senior level. Dispensation was given this seaon as no suitable arrangement could be formulated with a NSW Cup entrant or other club

Melbourne Storm play those eligible for NRL at a joint venture with the Cronulla Sharks

My only issue with that is the Qld Cup is still allowing players from the NSW Cup in their comps . David Milne played for Souths Logan about a month ago Remember reading it in Courier Mail Qld Cup lists
( Not sure of exact time line )

There was a mid year cut off date for the decision to be made on where the players would go.

It is why Milne is able to start for the Raiders at fullback this week

Sorry Cunno Was basically saying that if SOO was Victoria and NSW and Vics had won 6 series that NSWRL would be creating same issues for Storm that they are creating for choosing Qld over NSWRL
