Anyone have any info about this trial? Will it be all 3 grades like the Foundation Cup?

The NSWRL site says that Wests Tigers will play Wenty in a NSW cup trial at 3pm so assuming it will be all three grades at Leichhardt. Anyone confirm this?

Feb 16, All three grades, Campbelttown Sports Stadium.

That makes two trials I wont be attending

Surface being re-sown at the moment and as such not suitable

Look don't want to be critical , but thats a bit amatuerish to not have Leichardt up and ready ,even if it is just a trial

Not really. It is being set to be on song for Round 2, the first scheduled home game.

Apart from that as I said on the WT FB site I believe we need only one trial in Sydney (the Foundation Cup) The onus should be on clubs to play games in country areas and grow the grass roots of the game.

They would probably get a better crowd as well

I totally agree that they should be playing more trials in the country areas Smeg , but if the club has known for a while it had planned a game for a certain date you would think they would have all the amenities available for that clash

Whether they will get a better crowd is just conjecture

2 years in a row the West Tigers have shafted the Leichardt Oval customers

Why announed it was at Leichardt when it wasn't confirm

2 YEARS IN A ROW, AMATEUR HOUR at West Tigers but I suppose with what happen in head office anything is possible :imp:

I agree Happy. This game has had more homes than an unwanted child. Wasn't it going to be Gosford? Then Leichhardt? Now Campbelltown? It will be on at Lidcombe Oval next week… It is only a trial but even so - surely someone knew LO was unavailable when the first switch was announced.

Sadly that's par for the course these days. Gone are the days when entry to trials was basically a token fee. I seem to remember the very first WT trial game (v the Beagles at LO) being pretty cheap. Given the standard of play and the fact that a lot of the time you're watching reserve graders it is a bit much. When the game is inevitably marred by poor handling and sloppy defence the clubs will be quick to point out it is a trial and yet the fans are paying NRL-standard prices…

Unless of course you're a member and snap up those half price tickets!!!

I remember some trials free, $5….shame about LO was looking forward to a summer game there.....two res. stand tix on half way for about $20 though cant beat that

Just got my tickets - three games of football for $16 - that's a bargain, and I'm more than happy to take the drive out to beautiful Campbelltown stadium to be there.
