Liam Fulton. Lots of people have bagged him are are quick to point to his lack of meters gained but if half the team put in the same effort as he has been week in and week out, we'd be talking about a different WT. He may be playing for a contract? But even so, at least he is giving it all

RESPECT..

Absolutely, positively, 1000% correct! Did all the dirty work again last night such as carting it up from our own end when nobody else wanted to know about it. Plus the tackling, and trying to get involved in the attack.

As often gets mentioned, if the rest of the forward pack played like him we would be a much better team.

Never understand why people say he shouldn't be in the team. Great player. That said, he shouldn't be used as a battering ram.

Yep, he's amazing. Better defender than Farah imo. As a hooker he gets a lot more tackles by being there but fulton is ALWAYS taking out the legs of the attacker and racking up almost as many tackles as Farah when they both play.

Played his worst game of the season last night. Bombed try, trying to outpace the fullback when he made a line break and some crucial missed tackles. I'm a fulton fan but he was pretty poor last night.

Ive noticed this year he's starting to play to his strengths a lot more - ie tackling his ring off in defence, and using his ball playing/footwork in attack. Second rowers these days are getting bigger each year, and while he may not have the same size as them, creates as many opportunities by beating his man and getting quality ball to the outside backs.

In saying that, I thought Bodene Thompson had a solid game last night. He catapulted himself into the line many times.

Thought of him, the instance I read the thread title.

Did people see him get outside of Manu? Hilarious

He's a great clubman. Every time I see someone make half a break on our right side- I automatically think Liam will stop him.

Very underrated. Still reckon 3 more years might be one year too much. But, Payten and Liam might be in our coaching rank for a few years IMO

Great underated player. Does the dirty work. Very much like Hindmarsh and Gary Larsen. Without them the tries would flow. Excellent in defnese. Clone him!! No Seriously.

Liam is a good role model for the other players. He always played to 110%. The rest of the other players should ask themselves at what capacity did they played to after each game.!!

100%
His tackles around the legs are clinical…he's gonna hurt himself one day with his head down in someones knee...

Liam Fulton is our current Ben Galea. Doesn't quite have the physique to dominate, but shames most of his teammates with his commitment, consistency and passion.

Easily our hardest worker and if he was paid by the tackle our salary cap would be shot

Surprised the Giraffe hunter hasn't shown up yet

Proud to say i backed him in the down times when many on here wanted to show him the door. Form is temporary class is permanent. You only have to see him play to know that he is a class individual and great clubman.

Big turning point was that Liam Fulton no try, what a terrible call.

He is an absolute gun! And deserved that try.

We need a damage 2nd rower on the other side to compliment his workhorse style.

i think it is quite the reverse.

he gets enormous wraps on here and most are prepared to completely overlook any short comings due to his obvious effort.

Depends on how you assess players. Rate him against say Watmough or Lewis and its obvious they are in a different class.

Nothing wrong with approaching and evaluating Fulton based on facts like he would be on no where near those kinds of dollars, does not have the outright class that they do, and is generally one of the smallest forwards in the NRL….yet plugs away each week, never puts in a truly bad game, fills any number of roles within a single match, and has shown himself willing to sacrifice for the good of the team.

Its like when everyone was rating Beau on here, we weren't saying he was the most brilliant winger in the world, we were appreciating just how far he had come, and the effort he was providing. By the time he left he was one of the most solid wingers you could ask for.

If you judge everyone by Origin standards you would come away thinking most of the competition is garbage.
