Username colour

how come some people usernames are red, some are green and some are a more bolded black?
Is this some kind of moderator thing or can you change it somehow?

Colours have just changed… but to answer your question

Red (now orange) are the admins on the site
Green (now dark grey) are the moderators

Members are in shown in plain text, this is in case a member needs to contact an admin or mod they can easily identify who to contact.
