NothingButLeague are doing mid-season recruitment for our writing team.

NothingButLeague will help provide you with work experience to land a career in sports journalism.

Some of these positions have become available thanks to our writers moving into paid employment at National Rugby League clubs.

Ideally we are looking for motivated and committed writers who are studying or completed journalism type courses, those who have previous experience on sports websites, or those who’ve completed journalism internships.

The ideal team member must work independently and to deadlines.

POSITIONS AVAILABLE

2 x NRL writers: this will involve match day reporting and opinion pieces. Positions have been made available as writers have moved to NRL clubs.

4 x Super League/Championship writers: newly created roles which will involve match day reporting and opinion pieces. One position will be dedicated to Toronto Wolfpack reporting.

I assume these are unpaid 'work experience' positions. They're just looking for people willing to work for nothing in the hope they'll miraculously become an NRL journo.
Very similar to people asking photographers or designers to do free work on the basis of gaining 'exposure'. Little more than a con but they'll probably be flooded.
