Warrington V Hull FC

Overnight Warrington Wolves completely outplayed Hull FC to progress to week 3 of the finals series, after the Wolves were flogged the previous week I was expecting Hull FC to continue their good form but Warrington dominated the game before the Airlie Birds came home with 2 late consolation tries.
Brett Hodgson again played well at the back and is only 2 games away from a Challenge Cup/Premiership double, I was hoping to catch the game live but will have to make do with a replay sometime today on Eurosports, in the other game played Friday night a gallant Le Catalans went down to Leeds 20-27 at Gilbert Brutus Stadium.

Warrington will play St Helens in the Preliminary Final next week after Wigan chose to play Leeds in the other Prelim. It's weird that club call where the top team gets to choose who they face. The team that gets chosen could have added motivation thinking they got picked cause Wigan don't rate them!! Hope Hodgo gets through to the GF…

I don't think Hodgson will get any more silverware this year. The win over the Black'nWhites wasn't all that convincing. Hull's attack is driven by the same halves who played for the Auckland Vulcans last year. Wigan should be specials over the Rhinos now that McGuire has been suspended for a week. St Helens v Warrington might be a bit of a slog because the St Helens ground was flooded early this week. If it's a bog track I think that would favour Wire. I think they have more grunt in the forwards whereas Saints have most of their strike power out wide.
