I had the opportunity to watch the Manly v Storm game,Raidersv Drags and Dogs v EELs...I was very impressed by all 3 games with the effort of all players from all sides,the footy was exciting and entertaining..Our team can only fumble,bumble and error their way through their first 6 games...
Is this the poor coaching appointments or the lacklustre players we have,albeit Api,Paps,Klemmer and Bateman are absolute standouts..We really need to re _evaluate the way this team and club are going,Hastings made the move to Newy and they put on a brilliant display against a very good Riff side,he may or may not have been our answer BUT his performances for us even though injured were outstanding...
Fittler was interviewed by Danika Mason and he said "you have to get your defense right to put yourself in a winning position".Madge tried to fix our defense,but everyone wanted to get rid of him because it was boring footy,WHAT DO WE SEE NOW WITH GREAT ATTACKING STRUCTURE PUT IN PLACE ,,,,0/6..
I hope this experiment works otherwise it will be a boring 6/7 years ahead of us...
 
The Parra/Dogs game was rubbish. Did you watch the second half? Neither team could catch a cold. I liked Madge but he had plenty of time to fix up things and didn’t. I too wanted to keep Hastings but we didn’t. Move on.To me not being able to score early has killed us. We had enough ball early against the Titans and Eels to score plenty of points. Even the storm game I believe we bombed at least 2 genuine tries. Thats not on the coaches but our halves not taking the right options.

Manly hit hard in defence and Melbs didn’t expect it. I remember a game the Tiges played against South’s a few years ago and we played that same way taking them by surprise for a win. I wish we went back to that style of footy. I think they’ll get us next week if they bring that game. Maybe we can surprise them?

I don’t get it? Hagipantelis says we need more attack, but we’ve been focusing heavily on attack and the result is the worst of all 17 teams?
Maybe Benji should take a step back and let the players do the training?
Benji had a great high kick to Nofa and a good long ball to Nofa, also a very good sidewinder long grubber to his right winger, if he is teaching those skills then why haven’t we seen them?
Hagipantelis also suggested that Nofa needed a reason to play well, don’t know why but this has stuck in my mind. Nofa goes to Storm and plays well, but when back in a WT jersey returns to his usual nuffy form?
We had better understand why we can’t give him a reason to play well, because sacking players and others in the organisation for a drop in attitude clearly isn’t working.

our forward pack should be able to stand up to manly's pack, I'd say we will be ready for the aggressive defence

I just hopeSheens and co do plenty of video replays and find a way for this team to counteract the Sea Eagles game,otherwise its 0/7 coming up...

And you do Col ? can you explain why we are 0/6 after such a brilliant recruitment and great preseason,that this team is going to light up the NRL arena with a wonderful attacking style of football....our forwards are getting us in the zone but we fail to score points,rather have points scored on us in the first half and we have to come back off the back foot nearly every game..
I think you have no idea mate,but living off emotions instead of reality....

I totally agree Ink,but we also have to find a way to stop leaking points in the first half only to fight back hard in the second half and always missing out as the last 6 games have shown...we really need to convert the forwards putting us in the zone with scoring points off the back of that work...

We dont have very strong defence in our 20. We dont have very strong attack in our opponents 20.
What does that tell you?
And I dont want to hear we need a new half 😂

Mate,the disappointing thing for me is that we have great forwards,some talented backs and a supposedly great coaching team who were selected from 17 applicants so Lee tells us..
So why the hell are we in this mess with no wins so far...I know,I know we are in a rebuild ....please...the sooner nepotism is eradicated from this club then the better off we all will be...

Seibold is a good coach. I often wonder why he struggled so much when he was at the Broncos a few years back. It seemed the knives were out for him before they even played a game and the media criticism of him was relentless, much like they are with us. Yet there’s not a squeak about him at Manly 🤔 Results are everything

Nofas reason to play well is because he is being paid, that should be reason enough, if Lee's comments are accurate then they both need to be shown the door.
