Click on the persons profile..or avatar ..just below in the left corner you will see orange chat box..hit that..

The bubble/ cloud icon in the top right next to your profile picture


Click on that then u can search the username of the person u would like to Pm

I get "forbidden" and the text is then lost. (OK if I go the long route, but.....)
