I have just come home from a touch footy day here in Rockhampton. It's 35 degrees and Benji has been running around since 8am playing with and coaching the kids. He posed for picture, signed autographs and generally made those kids day. He's also playing for the Rocky team against the Australian team this afternoon.
What a bloody good ambassador for sport in general. Hats off to you Benji. :wahoo:

boy becomes a man? sorry, but that sounds so condecending Magpie… but I'm sure you didn't mean it like that. The bloke looked after his youngest bro's when his father walked out on them early on. He bought a Sydney unit for his whole family to live in. I'd say Benji had to grow up a long time ago.

Was thinking the other that this guy IS wests tigers and pretty much turned the club around ( with the help of some other players sheens and noyce too) with his style of play and off field marketability.From the anrics of terry lamb, hoppa field and mcguiness when this guy burst on to the scene the way the tigers were lookd at changed, and the way we were heading we could have been the laughing stock of the comp by now.

So many years watching the great players in other sides it's amazing to me that he's one of ours.

On field speaks for itself but off field he's all quality too.

Benji and sheens are the reason the westsTigers are the biggest crowd pullers for a sydney club in consecutive years since 2004 except 2009,we come 2nd behind the pups and the most enjoyable team to watch.sign em up again

Its like that story from last week where Ben Hannant left his family holiday to return to Sydney and accompany a down syndrome girl to her school formal.

There are way more good guys then bad ones in the NRL...just wish the bloody journos weren't so biased in their reporting of off field happenings.
