WEST TIGERS V CRONULLA TIGER SHARKS

Was watching the sharks v raiders game and thinking all the former WT players really had the right attitude and played with a lot of commitment ..and there was a lot..heigno, fifita, ryan, morris, degois and gibbs. Thats half at team. All these were our rejects for a number of reasons but seem to be the core of a team that will be playing finals footy for a couple of years. What do that say about us?

ryan and fifita only real losses. Ryan for his work off field and the fact he can fill in WELL at centre, wing and FB which is great mid game if there are injuries. And obviously fifita.

Rest couldnt care less.

I think Im on the same page as you mate…. we should have given the other half of the team peptides when they were playing for us and we could have played in more finals series. We really need to step it up in the sports science department.

Agree more so with Fafita but the others no real lose!

Really, won only 3 of 11 against any of the top 8 sides, and despite finishing 5th they had a points differential of just +8 and that was going be a negative if the Raiders didn’t capitulate in the last 10 minutes and were only 11th for points scored, they are a gritty side but unless Carney has a good day they have little flair and try scoring ability other than Fifita, not sure they will trouble the top 4 sides, at least not consistantly.

And as for next year they have a high priced ageing roster and their best youngster is off to the Panthers

Degois/Morris are long gone, not even worth mentioning. I mean Isaac played 5 games for us in 2006 and most were off the bench.

Gibbs has barely laced a boot this year because of injury.

Heigno is playing as well as he was for us late last year when he needed a new contract. Change of scenery has worked well.

Ryan is doing nothing he didn't already do for us during his last few years here. And considering we eventually replaced him with Nofo and Simona, I think we should be ok with that.

Fifita, well worn track. Very little need to go over again.

Exactly there team is ageing big time they will be gone this week and be sitting with us anyways. Btw they lost some good young players and Chad Townsend Tyron Peachy and Jason Bakyau. The only players i will take back are Beau Ryan and Andrew Fifita the rest can stay were they are. They signed heaps of players over the years which most of them are ageing but they wont win the comp still. We will be a force for years in the future with a young roster and will always finish above them once we finish our rebulding phase which should start from next year.

Hey guy's i'm ashamed to say i don't even know why we let Fifita go, was it attitude toward's training or sheen's ?

Good points. Add Tyson Frizzel (spelling??) to that list. Given they've lost him and Bakuya to sign guys like Lewis, Rhino etc I can imagine some Sharks fans might start asking some questions soon. Sure they look okay now but they've put all their eggs in one basket - there are a lot of veterans in that pack - and they still only ran 5th.

Ryan is/was a very poor centre, but he is a very good fullback and better winger.

Gibbs was a bigger loss than anyone. He held the team together on and off the field and kept our defensive structure tight in the middle.

Fifita had the potential but not the performances at the club when he was here. even last year at the Sharks he wasn't doing too much. He's worked damn hard in the 2011/12 off-season and the rewards are there to see, he's hitting his potential.

Ever since he left, we've had holes everywhere.

Morris was always a quality hooker, we never should have signed him and forced him to play in the halves. Just another Sheens debacle.

DeGois is fading, as is Hino over there, but they are at the back end of their careers, so its to be expected.

They've had possibly the worst centre pairing in the comp though. J.Wright is an atrocious player and Pomeroy is rocks way more times than he is diamonds.

Gallen has been trying to be a five-eighth most of the season which stunts their attack. Sharks seem to rack up big scores when he's not playing, it's no surprise really.

I still think Ryan left coz he knew Nofoaluma and Simona and Koro were coming through and he couldn't star on the Footy Show from NSW Cup. I wouldn't trade those three for Beau, not sour grapes as I feel he was very whole hearted but doesn't compare to the other 3.

Exactly i will never trade any of these 3 guns for him we mad the right call here.

Love Beau (although he is not nearly as handsome now as he was when he played for us) but he is nowhere near as exciting as our young backs.

Sharks have nothing without a firing Todd Carney.

But they do.
So Doesn'tt matter.

Every side has a player they rely on.

And in my opinion one of the best forward packs in the NRL with huge amounts of big match experience

The Sharks are probably two outside backs short of a premiership side
