Wests Leagues - We need more Money

Bottom line is we need more money.

Does anyone know how much Wests Leagues contribute to the football department?

Strong football teams have strong clubs backing them. For example, look at the Bulldogs, they are on the right path and can afford a number of players like Burton. The Wests Tigers rarely buy players like this but until next year is a little different but that's only two (And Brooks), it seems every other successful team has a number of these type of players. Even the Titans, Newcastle, Dragons, Sea Eagles, Raiders have big spending players.

We don't have one representing big name player!

In other words we need more money and where do we get it? I'm wondering if the best way is from Wests Leagues?

Or who else had ideas to find more money

Has little to do with money and more to do with the fact our club is not a desired destination for players. It ends careers...

Bulldogs were garbage until an external benefactor came on board, and now suddenly everyone is signing for unders.

The NRL does not need a draft, it needs either effective policing of the cap and 3rd party deals, or a complete redesign on the cap that is based on a judged worth (or points) not the supposed amounts players are being paid.

Yeah I agree, something a little more balanced would be good and an attractive incentive to come to our club is needed like the training centre for a start.

However I think the Wests Tigers could do with some extra money from somewhere.

It starts with the board. Depends on the level of success they want to achieve. They could hang onto a controlling interest and list like Broncos have done?

Change our name to the Western Rabbis and maybe finally Harry T will kick in some cash besides jersey sponsorships and a new team kitchen.

Our club has more than its fair share of famous and influential celebrities from the sporting, entertainment and business sectors (Including a billionaire). Drumming up 3rd party agreements should not be that difficult, especially considering that we have a lot of ex players who are active supporters and commentators of the club.

As for W.A…I don’t think they give a tinkers cuss about the football side of the club.…I doubt they even watch what’s going on. Don’t rely on them. They are a putrid stain.
