Wests management to blame

Why on earth would you wait till November to replace Sheens. This one action gave Potter no planning or preparation. Yes we have deadwood in our playing ranks, but as the saying in football goes, it all starts at the front office. All I want to add is, get a halfback. Preferably get Lui back as he has proved before he is at home in our time.

Lui????. I think most of the forum would agree I would prefer the wooden spoon. It was bad enough we gave him one chance. That's a sick thought I'm sorry to say tiger maniac!!! :rant

We have a couple of half backs, they just are not ready for 1st grade (well that's a different thread all together). I'm in the same boat as Eye of Da Tiger and probably the rest of the forum in saying, yes Lui played well in 1 game back, but it was just 1 game, but more importantly and the the underlying factor is his off field behaviour is unacceptable, especially with a club that is one of the front runners in respecting women imo.

No place for women beaters.

As far as flicking sheens, I think it took so long because of the financial ties with him, pretty sure they were waiting for him to take the warriors gig or others rumoured about, hence save on an enormous payout.

It was a big call for the powers that be to put us 900 k in debt ,especially with what is happening with Balmain and then having to be concerned whether they could get someone better than Sheens for bargain basement

Talking about that time , just want pass my commiserations to the Walters family

Kevie's Mum Sandra passed away the week before last and want to send my condolences to

Brett ,Steve ,Andrew ,Kerrod and Kevin and their families from an old Ipswich mate

It's never great timing when sacking a coach. We just have to live with it really. What's done is done. It does appear that this season will be a season lost, well, in terms of being a force in the league. Potter now gets a chance to put his own stamp on the squad from the end of this season. I expect at least half the off contract players to be moved on. Others may be given the chance to take offers elsewhere if they come and from there Potter can rebuild around a core of young and talented players.

Humpty crapping his daks when Penrith offered the big deal and extending him another three years is his biggest stuff up

Yes, maybe. I assume the Board was involved in the decision (if they did not MAKE it!) and with Dave Trodden, the Chairman, and Wests Campbelltown voting with the five Balmain Directors, they had the numbers.
Am I correct?

LOL…its like sacking an entire team when the coach is crap.

Theres always a fall guy for that very reason

The buck stops at the top
